Miss Bernie as she is known, is the Artistic Director for Suwanee Performing
Arts, a performance based nonprofit community arts organization. After having
to put a beloved pet down, Bernie’s husband went to the GA SPCA and asked
for “the dog that nobody wants”. That dog is the “Pound Dog” herself Penny
Lynn who became the catalyst for our Annual Benefit for all the “Pound Dogs
and Cats” that are waiting for their forever homes.

When she is not walking her Pitbull mix, Kashmir or throwing the ball for
her Black & Tan Coonhound, Barnsley -- or playing with her 14 year old cat,
George. Holly Firfer can be seen on CNN, HLN, CNN Airport Network and
CNN Accent Health covering anything from breaking news, to medical stories
to travel features.
