Mini Lingual Spur Educator
Bonded on the lingual surface of upper or lower
central incisors, the function of Mini Lingual Spur
Educator is to induce the tongue to reduce the
pressure on the teeth, being an important
support on the inhibition of finger sucking habit,
which is the main cause of open bites.
Use Indication:
- Chronic thumb sucking treatment;
- Open bite correction;
- Minimization of recidivism;
Placement of the Spur on lingual upper or
lower side incisors.
Tongue retraction when touching
the Mini Spurs, inducing re-education.
Bonding:
- Follow the recommendations of the adhesive manufacturer.
- We recommend OrthoPrimer and OrthoBond.
Removal:
- Use a bracket debonding instrument.

- Non reusable product, as its reuse may cause cross infection, reduction of the bonding
efficiency and loss of mechanical properties due to natural wear.
- Product to be applied by orthodontic qualified professional only.

STERILE
- Non-sterile product, the professional is responsible for the good work practices.
- This product contains Nickel and Chromium. - A small percentage of the population is
allergic to these metals. In case of allergic reactions, advise the patient to seek medical
attention.
- Do not use the product if the packaging is violated, in order to avoid possible dangers
related to the transmission of microorganisms or the possible falsification of the products.
- This product hasn’t been evaluated for compatiblity and safety in Magnetic Resonance
environment, the patient should be advised of this condition.
- For bonding always use orthodontics adhesives that promote better adherence and
facilitate the removal of residual adhesive from the tooth, preserving its enamel. Nonorthodontic resins are more dense and do not properly penetrate into the base, making the
removal of the product or residual adhesive more difficult and consuming more dental burs.
