THE WAY TO HEAVEN
1. God loves you
John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
2. We are all sinners
Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” What is Sin?
1 John 3:4 says, “Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the
transgression of the law.”
God’s law is given in the Ten Commandments:
1. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any
graven image, or any likeness.
3. Thou shalt not take the name of the
LORD thy God in vain.
4. Remember the Sabbath day to keep it
holy.
5. Honour thy father and thy mother.
6. Thou shalt not kill.
7. Thou shalt not commit adultery.
8. Thou shalt not steal.
9. Thou shalt not bear false witness.
10. Thou shalt not covet [desire that
which is unlawful to obtain or
possess; desire what belongs to
another].
James 2:10 says, “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he
is guilty of all.”
3. The penalty for sin is death and hell
Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death…”
Revelation 21:8 says, “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and
murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their
part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”
4. Jesus paid the penalty
Romans 5:8 says, “But God commendeth [showed] his love toward us, in that, while we
were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 6:23 says, “…but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
5. Jesus was raised bodily from the grave
Hebrews 7:25 says, “Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come
unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.”
If you believe these truths from the Bible and if you want to be set free from sin, call
upon the Lord Jesus Christ and ask Him to save you. In order to be set free from sin, you
must repent of your sins and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.
Luke 13:3 says, “…except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”
• Repentance is that voluntary change in the mind of the sinner in which he turns from
his sin.
• Belief is that voluntary change in the mind of the sinner in which he turns to Christ
and trusts Him as Lord and Saviour.
6. Jesus Christ will save you if you call upon Him
Romans 10:9, 13 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and
shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved…
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
If you ask Christ into your life and trust Him alone as your Saviour, He has promised to
give you eternal life.
John 1:12 says, “But as many as received him, to them gave he the power to become the
sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.”

“The Bible Way to Train Up Your Child”
7:00 PM
Worship Center
A good education is important for every child, but it is
only one part of training up a child. Join elementary
principal Roland Rasmussen for a look at what the Bible
has to say about training children.
Resources for the Whole Family
As a support to your family, we offer weekly Bible studies to meet the needs of your
entire family. These Bible studies are held each Sunday at 9:45 AM. Nursery care
and Sunday school classes are also offered during this time for infants through teens.
NAVIGATORS
Pastor Tim Rasmussen | Lower Gymnasium
Led by Pastor Tim Rasmussen, Navigators is an adult Bible Study where we study the
Word of God together. It is open to those who are married or single, as well as young
or older adults. Each week, we enjoy a wonderful time of singing, and a lesson from
God’s Word that helps build and strengthen our relationship with Christ. We also
enjoy a time of fellowship where we can forge friendsips to last a lifetime.
VOYAGERS
John Rasmussen | Room 42
The Voyagers class is designed to help married couples and single parents build,
strengthen and repair family relationships. The Bible-based teaching covers a variety
of topics that you will find relevant in your daily interactions in the home. You will
enjoy practical applications and humor interjected into the weekly lessons. The fellowship you enjoy each week will be a tremendous support for you and your family.
ANCHOR
Roland Rasmussen, Jr. | Library
This study is designed to meet the needs of college-age singles. Each week, we enjoy
Christian fellowship and Biblically-sound teaching from God’s Word that focuses on
the current struggles and events that college-age singles face on a daily basis. If you
are looking for a fun, welcoming, Bible-based class where you will be accepted and
make friends for a lifetime, then you will want to be a part of our Bible class.
LACE
Kelly Rasmussen & Heather Melton | Rooms 17 & 18
Ladies After Christ’s Example—The LACE Bible Study is for women desiring to grow
spiritually from relevant Bible teaching and to build lasting Christian friendships.
Ladies are encouraged to live out their faith by taking part in various service projects.
Practical ideas for the home also help women in their roles as wives and mothers.
KINGSMEN
Peter Misseijer | Room 10
The Kingsmen class is designed to meet the needs of adults of all ages. Each week,
we have a time of fellowship, enjoy a time of singing and worshiping God, a Q&A
time reviewing the past week’s lesson, and a biblically-sound lesson that will challenge and encourage you in your walk with the Lord.
LEGACY BUILDERS
Charlie Misseijer | Room 34
Legacy Builders is designed to help young married couples build a godly legacy. Being
married and raising a family is hard work, but couples do not always work hard at it.
God designed marriage to be forever. As we study the Bible together, it is our prayer
that we will discover how to have a marriage that is Christ-centered; allow God to
shape us into the husbands, wives and parents that He wants us to be; rear children the
Bible way in a loving, secure atmosphere; and be aware of dangers that could potentially divide our families. Legacy Builders is a place where you will make friends with
other young couples who are facing the same life events and struggles that you are.
SALT CLASS
Edwin Aguirre | Room 14
The single lifestyle holds great potential! There are opportunities to meet new friends,
become involved in wonderful endeavors and move ahead in promising careers. Most
single adults are searching for direction and personal joy, both of which may be found
within the truth of God’s Word. SALT offers weekly Bible studies prepared to encourage, equip and excite career singles about their future. SALT also has several activities
throughout the year, such as beach barbeques, trips to Catalina Island and missions
trips that allow singles to meet new friends and enjoy time away from work or school.
POINTMEN
Kyle Melton | Room 15
Pointmen is a men’s Bible study focused on developing spiritual leadership, Christian
character, and godly purity in the lives of its members. Through Bible teaching, Bible
study, and fellowship, men can grow to be what God intended.
KINDRED HEARTS
Mahal Ramos | Room 11
This unique class offers women the opportunity to meet together on a weekly basis
to fellowship and study God’s Word. Ladies are encouraged to live in a way that
pleases the Lord and witnesses to the lost around them. Our weekly prayer request
and praise time is a favorite opportunity to uphold each others’ needs and rejoice
over answered prayer. During our fellowship time each week, we enjoy tea, coffee
and a special treat. Kindred Hearts women genuinely care about each other and are
eager to share with visitors the love and warmth of Faith Baptist Church.
BEREANS
Omar Ramirez| Worship Center
The Bereans class is designed to meet the needs of adults of all ages. The biblical teaching you will receive in this class will help and encourage you to grow as a
Christian. The class includes a time of singing and prayer where we bring our burdens
to the Lord. Each week, we enjoy Christian fellowship and are challenged by a lesson
from God’s Word.
