This Hood Brace Kit prevents and corrects the kinks in hoods that
were common on the 1973 through 1980 Blazers and Jimmys. Kit
includes two braces and self-tapping screws for installation. Call or

Silicone Sealant is recommended for installing the Hood Brace Kit to
keep water out and prevent rust from forming.
Installation Tip: Since all hoods and mounting locations are different, a slight
adjustment to the mounting bracket may be needed to assure the light goes out when
the hood is closed. After the mounting bracket and wires have been installed, apply
pressure to the mounting bracket to change the angle as needed.

included with lamp. No need for wiring to a switch, bulb socket base

goes out when lowered. Mount underneath hood and connect lamp

To ensure proper fit of repair panels, do not begin cutting the existing sheet metal
until you have received and checked the fit of the new panel. Due to variations
between manufacturers, dimensions may vary slightly.
Replacement body parts are quality steel replacement parts that are made overseas.
Having been shipped half way around the world by ship and then by truck, there will
most likely be a few scratches or small dents; this cannot be helped and should be
expected. A small amount of repair may be required. All body parts are packaged
and handled with great care.
