At Agritechnica Hardi is presenting its new equipment flushing device Dilution Kit for retrofitting on the Navigator. This
is an electrically remote-controlled liquid system that can be
switched from the driver’s seat

boom flushing. When the Dilution Kit is activated, the agitator valve and return line are

The MINI-BMS is an extremely light forestry mulcher
with fixed tools. Thanks to its
strong high-strength steel housing, created in accordance with
the lightweight building principle, it does not break the 400
kg boundary. It can thus be
mounted on outriggers, forestry cranes, mini-excavators and
excavators up to 10 t.
The fixed tools show their
power, reducing even thick timber effortlessly. The machine
was designed for drive outputs
of 50 hp upwards. It can mulch
up to 12 cm thick bushes. The

with various axial piston engines,

tractor and is adjusting its wheel

In fact, however, the fourteen
men inspecting the house-high

village of Buggingen are solving a puzzle. Why are the tyres
wearing down so unusually fast
and one-sidedly, even though
the wheel alignment does not
show any deviation? The FarmTeam from Goodyear Dunlop
proved at its visit to the customer that the wear could not un-

the same axle have toe-in on one
side and toe-out on the other”,
explains Frank Ecksmann, Product Manager Farm Tyres at the
Claas distributor, pointing out
the core of the problem. “Measurements using the track measuring device then show a correct
overall value – in other words
zero deviation. In reality, however, both tyres are maladjusted
in the same direction”, continues Ecksmann. “Correct wheel
alignment together with correct
tyre pressure is the vital essential
for long tyre life.”
The Goodyear-Dunlop-Team
collaborates with the firm Haweka whose laser measuring device
“TA-20 LM” can measure the
track deviation individually on
the right and left. This ensures
precise alignment of each individual wheel for the first time.
“You seldom find a tractor with
correct alignment”, explains
Harald Schenitzki, Product
Manager at Haweka. He adds
that values from zero to a maximum of (plus) three millimeters
are acceptable. “Any deviation
above or below this necessarily
leads to the tyres and steering
accuracy suffering.” The vehicle
should be placed under cover or
in a hall to measure the wheel
alignment using laser technology. “A laser point indicates the
track deviation”, explains Schenitzki. “It is quite simply easier to
see this indoors.” With this system the tractor is measured in
driving mode. It is driven onto
turntables, but no longer has to
be raised using a cable winch as
before. “This is an additional
advantage of the new system”,
the measuring expert is quick to
point out.
The second step is to lay out
the two toe gauges. The laser
point is projected onto these.
The gauges are placed horizontally on the ground in front of
and behind the tractor and have
to be aligned parallel with each
other. The spacing between the
toe gauges is ten times the wheel
rim diameter.
Once the gauges are correctly
set out, the TA-20 LM can be
attached to the wheel rim to be
measured via magnetic feet. In
this way the measuring device is
secured to the outer side of the

is monitored with
a laser measuring
device.

a red laser point lights up on
the toe gauge display. It states
the toe readings in mm on the
respective side. With the measuring device switched on, the
wheel can now be adjusted with
the wrench. The new wheel
alignment causes the laser point
to wander over the gauge. If
it comes to a stop at zero, the
wheel is correctly set. The other tractor wheels can then be
measured. To ensure optimal
mileage the alignment should
be set roughly every 500 operating hours.
