summer 2015 - Ligonier Valley YMCA
SUMMER 2015 I hope that everyone is coming off of another cold and snowy Western Pennsylvania winter and ready for the spring and summer season. As the YMCA moves from winter to spring we are beginning our much anticipated construction project. We had our ceremonial groundbreaking event on Friday, March 27th. We had over 80 people attend with representation from Borough, County and State officials as well as foundations, Board members, staff, and YMCA members. The outpouring of support was tremendous and even further punctuates the YMCA’s impact in the community and the support of this project. As the machines begin with the site work and we move toward the building phase, we are going to maintain communications to our members and participants as we move through the process. We will be providing updates via our website and our Facebook page as well as making ourselves available for any questions that you may have. We will maintain operations and have an extensive safety plan in place to do so. This is a very exciting time for your YMCA as we move toward increasing our ability to serve you even better. — Larry Stormer, CEO OPEN DOORS We proudly ensure that the YMCA stays accessible to everyone, and we never wish to turn anyone away for an inability to pay. Please ask about financial assistance for programs or membership — the Y feels happy to help!
