ABOUT US
Moonlit Sanctuary is inspired by the work of British
naturalist Gerald Durrell and is dedicated to the
conservation of endangered species. We are located
within the Western Port Biosphere Reserve, and
present many of the unique animals that have been
found inside the reserve.
CAFE AND GIFT SHOP
Our cafe opens for light meals daily between
11am and 4pm. Our gift shop has a wide range
of Aussie souvenirs.
Keeper for a Day
Work beside a keeper for a day, learning the
many interesting aspects of their job.
Winner of the Victorian Tourism Award in Ecotourism,
Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park invites
you to explore 10 hectares of bushland, meet
endangered species, feed kangaroos and wallabies.
Enjoy encounters with colourful birds, reptiles, dingoes
and many other animals. Learn about our critically
endangered animals and their conservation.
Experience our bushfood garden, wetlands and more.
At night, Moonlit Sanctuary comes alive with
world-famous lantern-lit tours. Owls and other
night birds are active, tiny feathertail gliders and
beautiful squirrel gliders swoop around, quolls,
pademelons and bettongs forage for food. Visitors
are amazed that even animals such as wallabies are
much more active and responsive at night. Join one
of our group tours or book a private tour.
