The Balance candleholder series is the result of experimenting with wood in a lathe.
Exploring how the material could be utilized to create a simple and minimalistic, yet sculptural silhouette, the first prototype was made.
The series was then productified into different sizes and materials.
One day Rikke went to DieselHouse, an engine museum in Copenhagen. You don’t have to look at the Gear Candleholder for long to see that
the visit sparked some ideas in Rikke’s mind. The design has a very industrial, almost machinelike look, an ode to the analogue mechanics of
the machine and candlelight. The candleholder consists of two pieces, that can stand alone or together.

That’s why it can be put together and taken apart, making it suitable for both tall and tiny flowers.
