Computerization of Land Records

A Fard Kendra is being opened at each Tehsil and SubTehsil.
Land records of all the villages of that Tehsil/Sub-Tehsil
will be available at the Fard Kendra in computerized
form.
Out of total 157 Tehsil/Sub-Tehsils, Fard Kendras have
been opened at 137 Tehsils/ Sub-Tehsils.
Land record of 10,367 villages out of a total of about
12,664 villages in the State has been computerized.
Revenue Records Being Computerized
1. Jamabandi ( including Sanctioned Fard
Badar)
2. Mutation
3. Roznamcha Waqiati

Land record is dynamic in nature.

Changes come as a result of sale transactions, death
of land owner, mortgage etc.

These changes are reflected in land records by way of
mutations/rapats.


If a proper system of up-dating the computerized
land records is not there, the record will not be of any
use to the public.
Patwaris have been directed to visit the Fard Kendras
twice a week.

On spot delivery of Nakals of all Land Registers
from Fard Kendras.

Citizens & Land owners can view their Land
records from web-site (www.plrs.org.in)


After every five years a new Jamabandi is
prepared by the Patwari incorporating all the
Mutations and Rapats, which have been entered
during the last five years. This exercise takes a
few man months for a village.
After
computerization
of
land
records,
preparation of new Jamabandi of a village takes
only a few minutes.
Last year new Jamabandis of about 2100 Villages
were prepared on computer.


www.plrs.org.in & on clicking the FARD hyperlink, one
can check the Record of Rights.

A user friendly homepage at which Language (English
or Punjabi) for navigation can be selected
 List of Villages which are yet not available on the site, also appears.

Once the village has been selected , the hyperlinks to
the key registers i.e. Jamabandi and mutation
registers appear

Nakal of the Jamabandis can be searched:
- By Name of Owner
- By Khewat No
- By Khasra No.
- By Khatouni No.

Nakal is in pdf format and can be printed by the user.

Feedback System
In case user finds any mistake in his revenue record,
he can send his feedback by using the following
feedback format.

Till date about 33,000 visitors have visited the
site.

Only 88 mistakes have been pointed out.

Out of these 76 have been corrected.

About 1/3rd of the mistakes
computerization process.


land record and get even those mistakes
corrected, which crept in decades back.


In the first phase our efforts was that people
should not have to run after Patwari and
should be able to get their copy of their land
records from Fard Kendra.
Now we shall be trying that people do not
even have to go to Fard Kendra and we are
able to serve them through our website only.
