Memphis gives us so much love. Giving
back is just a natural part of our connection.
We try to reflect this city on the court and off.

It’s just built in the organization. I think
that this city is a part of the Grizzlies and
we really feel that way and the community
is a large part of what we do.

It’s a responsibility we have to bring
awareness to the needs in our city. This is
our home and our family, and I want to do
whatever I can to help.

[St. Jude patients] never make excuses
and always fight. I’m just happy to be a fan
of theirs. I feel proud that I can call some of
them my friends, honestly. Everything that I
have outside the game, I play for them.

The TEAM UP Youth Sports Partnership is a coalition of community
groups that uses sports as a catalyst for meaningful change in the
lives of young people.
Implemented by the Grizzlies Foundation, Sports-Based Youth
Development (SBYD) provides coaches with the training, information,
and tools to create meaningful relationships with young people - both
on and off the court - resulting in higher success rates for children in
SBYD programs.
Our network of 100 SBYD trained coaches impacts:
• 1,100 kids within the TEAM UP Youth Sports Partnership
• 350 kids in GrizzFIT Programs
• 12 high school student volunteers
The Memphis Grizzlies Foundation is a national leader
in the sports-based youth development movement.
They are a great example of how teams can invest in
their communities in meaningful, lasting ways.
