President’s Notes
Well folks, it’s here: JUNE and the car show is only weeks away. There’s
several events this month listed in the newsletter. The club important events
are as follows:
June 2nd…please come to the meeting for last minute updates, questions,
suggestions on the upcoming show.
June 4th…2016 Party on the Playground. A number of our members are
involved in this fundraiser for the Inside Out Foundation. This is a local
organization that helps women with cancer and receives no national funding.
A fun night and you get a $10 discount if you bring your car out to display.
Mike has the flyers below.
June 8 & 9…NAPA, 10 am to 2 pm, one of our long time main sponsors, has
their annual tool sale at both stores and we need members to bring cars if
possible and come to one/both locations and visit with the NAPA folks (you get
a good free lunch).
June 10th…ditty bag stuffing at Red Zone café, 7pm-?
June 11th…Car Show at Wayland University.
Please collect ditty bag items for the ‘stuffing’ and also door prize(s) to be
given at the show.
Let’s make this a great show, as it always has been.

team and for those who bring cars, family and friends.

Mike's Thoughts
June is here and it’s crunch time! John covered all the pertinent dates above and
all I can add is please try to get a door prize and stuff for the car show ditty bags.
Many of the places you trade with will have pens, key chains and what not to
advertise with and are glad to donate. If you’ve never come out to the ditty bag
stuffing, it’s a good time of fellowship as we pass the bags and fill them with good
stuff the night before the big show. Also, the T-shirts will be there for you to pick
up if you ordered one. If you didn’t order but want one, there will be extras there
for you to purchase. Please come out! Also we can always use volunteers to help
with registration and parking the day of the show.
Spread the word about our show to all your friends with cool cars. This is when
we make our money to support our charities and we need all the cars we can get.
If you are not completely worn out after our show, there are several more events
in June including the Wild West Harley Davidson car show, a show & shine in
Levelland for the Children’s Miracle Network and an autocross at the mall. As
always, info is on the “Coming Events” page of the web site.
Last but not least, we want to welcome a new major sponsor, Dallas Mustang.
Many of you already know and use them for their great Mustang parts, and they
will be at the show this year with a great display.
JUNE MEETING MINUTES
1. Minutes were approved.
2. Ronnie gave the budget report--we have $5,738.12 to date.
3. John told the group thanks for all their hard work at the Blue Ribbon Car Show.
President John Robison called the meeting to order---we had 26 members with one
new member.
gave report on what is happening with the MCA------there are three tiers for the
membership---$25---$35---and $50---go on line to signup4. We received a report on
Neil's Mustang repairs----it is going good.
5. Racer Car Wash will not be a sponsor this year maybe next year.
6. The birthday Party will be rescheduled----maybe in July.

8. New members---Steve & Keri Hill----welcome of the Lubbock Mustang Club family.
They have a 1966 Cobra----very nice car.
9. Chuck gave report on the Car Show in June----we will order 80 tee shirts---we have
63 sold already. They will be black this year. There were more items discussed about
the show--I have the complete list.
10. Angel Cochran has tickets for the Inside Out Foundation Car Show---$20.00 with
your car at Cagle's Steak House.
11. All of the offices purchased new shirts at the price $29.00 each----very nice
shirts.

The LUBBOCK MUSTANG CLUB is a social organization dedicated to the
preservation and enjoyment of the Mustang automobile and the fun and fellowship
that goes hand in hand with these cars. The only requirement for membership is a
love of Mustangs. For a membership form, go to the "About Us" page of

Membership dues are $20.00 for new members and $25.00 per year thereafter,
due on Jan. 1st.
