Dr. David Zawieja is a Regents
Professor and Vice Chairman of the
Department of Medical Physiology at
the Texas A&M Health Science Center
where he serves as the Director of the
Division of Lymphatic Biology. while he
has worked in the field of lymphatics
for more than 2o years, dr. zawieja’s
recent work focuses on the role of
calcium and contractile and regulatory
proteins involved in lymphatic
contractile activity.

Dr. Stanley Rockson is the Allan and
Tina Neill Professor of Lymphatic
Research and Medicine at Stanford
University where he serves as the
Director of the Stanford Center for
Lymphatic and Venous Disorders. His
current research interests include
biomarker identification in lymphatic
vascular disease and drug therapies to
reverse lymphatic disease.

Dr. J. Brandon Dixon is an Assistant
Professor in Mechanical and Biomedical
Engineering at Georgia Institute of
Technology. Housed in the Petit
Institute for Bioengineering and
Bioscience, Dr. Dixon’s research lab
focuses on imaging and tissue
engineering technologies for assessing
lymphatic function and biomechanics in
health and disease.
