ISLAND TRANSFERS
Depending on the location of your resort there are three transfer options,
speedboat, seaplane or domestic flight plus speedboat. Please note: the
transfer time one-way is advised next to the icon found on each resort page.
Speedboat transfers are used for islands close to Ibrahim Nasir
International Airport, Malé.

The Maldives is the perfect holiday destination to
do as little or as much as you please. 2016 is the year
to visit the Maldives and it is easy to see why. Relax
on the unspoiled beaches or with pampering spa
treatments, or enjoy the many outdoor activities
the Maldives has to offer. Enjoy all that makes the
Maldives an extraordinary holiday experience; luxury
accommodation, indulgent spa treatments, fantastic
facilities for families and children, world-class diving
and surfing, outstanding dining options and unique
resort experiences for special occasions.
WHEN TO GO
Located close to the equator, the Maldives enjoy steady
temperatures year-round (around 28-31 degrees
Celsius). The dry season is from November to April,
with the peak visiting period from Christmas to the
end of January – prices can be significantly higher at
this time. The rainy season is June and July – which
is excellent for surfers. We show prices for the ‘low
season’ in this brochure (generally May to October)
however, we have prices for all seasons. Contact our
reservations team to tailor your island escape.
Seaplane transfers may be used up to 1600hrs, after
which scheduled domestic flights on a local airline operate to resorts on
the outer islands. These then connect with speedboat transfers to your
island resort.
Seaplanes fly to the more remote islands and only operate in daylight
hours and have strict weather, safety and weight requirements.
MEAL PLANS & OPTIONAL UPGRADES
Check each resort listing for meal inclusions. Most packages include breakfast
daily, however some include more. Check each listing for specific inclusions and
ask us about excellent value meal plans, which you can upgrade for your stay.
Half board: breakfast and dinner only
Full board: breakfast, lunch and dinner
All Inclusive: breakfast, lunch, dinner PLUS additional services specific to

Maldives & Singapore Independent Travel Booking Conditions
It is important that you read and understand the following conditions before making your booking.
Please read the following terms and conditions carefully, as
they incorporate the basis upon which bookings are accepted by
Wendy Wu Tours Pty Ltd ABN 87 082 688 202.
These conditions are specific to independent holiday arrangements
in Maldives & Singapore. Additional booking terms and conditions
apply to our touring program. It is recommended these are read in
conjunction with these terms prior to booking. Our full terms and
conditions are available at wendywutours.com.au
Please note that pricing in this brochure excludes flights and
is valid, subject to availability, for travel in the low season as
determined by each resort. Please see our website
www.wendywutours.com.au/maldives for the latest pricing
and offers.
RESERVATION AND DEPOSIT Prices are subject to availability at
the time of booking. Please forward a copy of your passport together
with a deposit of $300 per person to Wendy Wu Tours or your travel
agent to arrive within three days of receiving confirmation that
the company is holding space for you. Note that holidays including
those over peak Christmas/New Year dates and the 2016 Formula
One Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix may require a greater
deposit. This will be advised to you prior to booking. Wendy Wu
Tours reserves the right to correct any errors in rates quoted or
calculated, or any omissions made at any time during your booking.
Any verbal quote given is an indication only of the final price and
is subject to confirmation in writing. All bookings are subject to
availability at the time of booking.
RECEIPT OF DEPOSIT By sending a deposit the client agrees to
be bound by the terms and conditions set forth in this brochure.
BALANCE OF PAYMENT The final balance of the travel
arrangements is due at Wendy Wu Tours no later than 75 days prior
to the confirmed tour departure date as confirmed by acceptance
of the booking. Failure to pay in full by the due date may result in
an additional cost which will be passed on as a late payment fee of
no less than $30 per booking or cancellation at the discretion of the
company. Holidays including resort stays over Christmas & New
Year or for the 2016 Formula One Singapore Airlines Singapore
Grand Prix may require the balance of payment earlier than 75
days – this will be notified to you upon booking. Wendy Wu Tours
reserves the right to request a partial payment of the final balance
more than 75 days prior to departure (e.g. airfare portion) in the
event that airline tickets need to be issued by our office or by our
operators overseas due to airline ticketing time limits. Payments by
credit cards will incur a fee.
PRICES Prices are in Australian dollars (except where noted
otherwise) and are correct at the time of publication (19
February 2016) and are subject to change without notice. The
holiday products shown within this brochure are for land only
arrangements.
AIRFARES are NOT INCLUDED in the price of accommodation,
package holidays, hotel stopovers, walking tours and extensions. For
clarification please speak to our reservations team on 1300 728 998.
VISAS are NOT INCLUDED in any prices.
TRAVEL INSURANCE is NOT INCLUDED in any prices and is
highly recommended.
NOT INCLUDED: Any taxes imposed directly by third parties,
passport costs, where necessary, resort fee, meals unless otherwise
stated as included, any additional bedding, beverages, gratuities,
travel insurance, excess baggage charges, communication costs,
laundry, taxis and any other items of a personal nature. If a
stopover in Singapore or other destination is required, the cost of
accommodation, transfers, meals and any taxes are not included in
the holiday price unless otherwise specified.
The Company is not liable for any expense, costs or loss incurred
in case of illness, or refusal of entry, detention in, or expulsion or
repatriation from a country or part of a country. You agree not to
hold the Company responsible for any such things.
The price of your holiday is only guaranteed once full payment
is received.
AMENDMENT & BOOKING FEES The following fees will apply:
Amendments to confirmed and deposited itineraries outside of 30
days prior to departure where the value of the booking is decreased
- $25 per change (a change to the booking that increases the value
will incur no fee).
Amendments within 30 days of departure - $50 per change.
Reissue of airline tickets - From $100 per person (other fees may
apply).
Bookings of only 3 nights accommodation or less - $30 per booking.
Rail tickets and passes only - $50 per booking.
Once a booking is confirmed name transfers are not permitted as
this will be regarded as a cancellation.
CANCELLATION BY CUSTOMER All cancellations must be made
in writing to Wendy Wu Tours and will be subject to the following
cancellation charges from the date the written cancellation is
received:
If airline tickets are issued then 100% of the airfare.
1. More than 75 days prior to departure; loss of deposit plus any
administration fees
2. Between 74 and 59 days prior to departure; 25% of total cost
3. Between 58 and 46 days prior to departure; 50% of total cost
4. 45 days or less prior to departure; 100% of total cost
5. Any ‘no show’; 100% of total cost
In the event of a cancellation any refunds will be less administration
fees including transfer fees, fuel surcharge and any other airline
cancellation fees and any applicable amendment fees. Regrettably
cancellation charges and fees cannot be waived. There can be no
exceptions. No refund will be made for any unused portions of the
holiday after the departure date. Please note that employees of any
overseas company or staff of Wendy Wu Tours outside Australia are
not authorised to give any guarantees or agreements to customers
in respect of refunds or any other matters.
CANCELLATION BY WENDY WU TOURS If travel arrangements
are cancelled or varied prior to departure due to unforeseeable
circumstances such as, but not restricted to, severe weather
conditions or force majeure, Wendy Wu Tours will refund all
monies prior to departure less fuel surcharge and any other
cancellation fees levied by airlines, hotels and other third parties.
Unforeseeable circumstances such as force majeure, adverse
weather, flight rescheduling, hotel overbooking and faults with
transportation or road conditions may also have an effect on the
itinerary after the commencement date. Any decision made in
respect of tour services by independent operators or airlines to
re-route or amend the itinerary due to any of the above or similar
circumstances is at the discretion of the tour service provider
and Wendy Wu Tours shall not be liable for any claim whatsoever
arising from such events.
HOTEL DESCRIPTIONS, MAPS & PICTURES Hotel descriptions
featured in this brochure are based on current hotel guides
provided by suppliers and contractual agreements. Any facilities
described are subject to change at any time. Maps and photographs
are included for general information only and may not necessarily
reflect actual routings, location or services. Wendy Wu Tours has
made reasonable enquiries to verify that the descriptions and
details are accurate but does not warrant that they are.
TRAVEL INSURANCE It is strongly recommended that all
customers travelling with Wendy Wu Tours are adequately covered
by insurance for the duration of their travel arrangements. Wendy
Wu Tours cannot in any way be made liable for any cost incurred by
the customer on any holiday or tour.
HEALTH REQUIREMENTS All customers are required to
familiarise themselves with any health requirements specific to
the countries being visited. Should any ailments either exist at the
time of booking, or arise before their departure from Australia, the
customer must inform Wendy Wu Tours of these by completing a
Medical Information Form.
Deep Vein Thrombosis: If you have a history of DVT you will
be required to complete a DVT letter of indemnity. This can be
obtained by contacting our office on 1300 727 998.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS A passport with a minimum of six months
validity is required for customers travelling to all countries in our
programme. All passengers arriving into the Maldives must be in
possession of a machine readable passport. It is the responsibility
of each passenger to have an appropriate Visa valid for the
entire duration of their travel. To ensure accuracy of ticketing
information, we require a copy of the passport of all customers to
be able to confirm the booking. Responsibility for documentation
accuracy, passport validity rests with the customer. Any
cancellation fees or other expenses incurred by the customer due to
the refusal of a visa will be entirely the customer’s liability.
CONSULAR ADVICE We recommend that you review information
provided by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade
prior to making your booking by calling 1300 555 135, or by visiting
their website www.dfat.gov.au for the latest information. We
strongly recommend that you familiarise yourself with the latest
Government Consular advice and information.
RESPONSIBILITY Wendy Wu Tours (herewith called the
Company) acts as a co-ordinator for all persons taking these travel
arrangements in the making of all arrangements for transportation,
sightseeing and hotel accommodation. The Company does not own,
manage, control or operate any transportation vehicle, any hotel
or restaurant or any other supplier of services. All receipts and
tickets are issued subject to the terms and conditions specified by
the supplier and all services are subject to the laws of the country
where the services are provided. The Company acts only as an agent
for the owners, contractors and suppliers of transportation and/or
other related travel services provided and assumes no responsibility
for the loss, theft or damage to baggage or property or for any
injury, illness or death or for any damages or claims whatsoever
caused arising directly or indirectly from accidents, loss, theft or
damage to person or property, delays, transport failure, strikes,
wars and uprisings or acts of God etc. over which the Company
has no control. We strongly urge all customers to undertake a high
level of personal responsibility in order to ensure that possessions,
equipment and personal documents are closely monitored and
protected at all times.
To the extent permitted by law, the Company does not accept
any liability in contract, tort or otherwise for any injury, loss,
damage, delay or additional cost relating to the customer’s booking
caused directly or indirectly by the acts or omissions of third
party providers over whom we have no direct control or by force
majeure or any other event which is beyond our control. Any such
claims for loss and damage are against those third parties and not
the Company. Where liability of the Company cannot be lawfully
excluded or limited, such liability of the Company will be limited
to the remedies available under applicable law including the
Australian Consumer Law. This section on responsibility is subject
to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and nothing
in this section is intended to limit any rights you may have under
that law.
SEATBELTS & LIFEJACKETS Please note that seatbelts are
not compulsory by law in many of our featured destinations and
therefore the local people largely choose not to wear them. For this
reason local operators may or may not have seatbelts in vehicles
or they may be hidden underneath protective seat covers. It is
recommended that where seatbelts are available customers must
use them and remain seated at all times while the vehicle is moving.
As such, customers acknowledge that seatbelts may not be available
and therefore travel at their own risk. Lifejackets may or may not be
provided on water transfers in the Maldives. It is the responsibility
of our customers to wear them and act responsibly. Customers
warrant that they shall not make any claim howsoever arising for
injury or damage in respect of, arising from or contributed to by the
absence of seatbelts or failure to wear lifejackets and hereby release
Wendy Wu Tours from all such claims.

PROCEDURES FOR LODGING COMPLAINTS OR CLAIMS
At Wendy Wu Tours we are committed to ensuring that we deal
with complaints effectively and efficiently. Should the customer
not be satisfied with any aspect of their arrangements they must
immediately inform the hotel or resort who will endeavour to
resolve the issue at the time. If this is not possible and you wish
to lodge a complaint or claim this must be done in writing to
Wendy Wu Tours in Sydney (or by email to customerrelations@
wendywutours.com.au) within 30 days of the date of the completion
of your Wendy Wu Tours arrangements. Relevant receipts and
substantiating evidence must be attached to the letter of claim.

FLIGHTS & AIRLINES If flights are added to your arrangements
the fuel surcharge component of the airfare is subject to change
until your airline ticket is issued. Airlines featured in this brochure
do not by virtue of their endorsement represent themselves either
as contracting with any purchaser of a holiday from Wendy Wu
Tours, or as having any legal relationship with such a purchaser.
Frequent flyer miles are not accrued on packaged fares.
PRIVACY We are collecting your personal information so that we
can process your booking. We will also keep you up to date with
other Wendy Wu Tours’ offers and product information which may
be of interest to you if you have consented to this. You can opt out
of receiving information at any time if you choose to do so. Any
personal information you provide will be managed in accordance
with Wendy Wu Tours’ privacy policy which can be viewed at
wendywutours.com.au.
BROCHURE & WEBSITE VALIDITY Tour itineraries and
prices in this brochure and on our website are accurate at the
time of printing and prices are based on exchange rates as at 8
October 2015. Once a customer has paid the deposit, the standard
regular price of the tour is guaranteed, subject to any increase
in fuel surcharge, tipping, tax changes or levies imposed by any
government or their agencies or any airline. The prices for travel
after 01 January 2017 are subject to change without notice. Wendy
Wu Tours reserves the right to make alterations to itineraries,
departure dates and prices due to circumstances beyond their
control.
AGENT RESPONSIBILITIES It is the travel agents’ responsibility
to ensure that all invoice and itinerary details and documentation
issued by Wendy Wu Tours are correct and that the customer is
aware of amendment and cancellation conditions and other clauses
in these Booking Conditions.
PROMOTIONS, LOYALTY BENEFIT & SURCHARGE
GUARANTEE Our offers and bonuses cannot be combined unless
specifically stated. Our offers may be restricted to certain room
categories. Some promotions may be withdrawn prior to the
booking deadline should supply be exhausted. The Wendy Wu Tours
‘No Surcharge Guarantee’ and ‘Loyalty Benefit’ are not applicable to
our range of independent holidays.
REDUCED PRICE STOPOVER OFFERS Any free/reduced price
stopover promotion includes one night accommodation at the
specified hotel on a bed & breakfast basis including airport-hotelairport transfers (on a seat-in-coach basis).The free stopover is
subject to availability at the time of booking. If the specified hotel is
unavailable we will make every effort to find an alternative hotel of
a similar standard. This offer is not available over the period of the
Singapore Formula One Grand Prix. Other peak season festivals or
events may be heavily restricted in availability.
REDUCED PRICE OFFERS & PRICE PROMISE Price reductions
may be made available for certain periods of travel or periods
of booking. We regret that these offers may not be applicable to
existing bookings or applied retrospectively. The Wendy Wu price
promise is not applicable to our range of independent holidays.
FORMULA ONE GRAND PRIX The 2016 Formula One Singapore
Airlines Singapore Grand Prix is organised by Singapore GP Pte
Ltd (“the organisers”) for whom we act as an agent for these
purposes – please refer to their terms and conditions which can
be found at http://singaporegp.sg which, by proceeding, you
agree will apply to your booking. Please note in Particular that
the organisers advise that motor racing, the event and activities
associated with the event (including without limitation, support
events) are inherently dangerous and accidents can and do
happen and by attending the event you consent to the risk of
injury, loss or damage. By proceeding you also agree that you will
be bound by the Organiser’s terms and conditions including those
displayed at the event, on the promoter or organiser’s website and/
or your tickets and that you may be required to sign a Release or
Waiver. You further agree that any liability or any claim whatsoever
and howsoever arising in the course of the event lies with the event
organisers.
FESTIVALS & EVENTS Seasonal surcharges may apply
throughout the year for special events, festivals, trade fairs or
conferences, which may alter prices. In the event that new trade
fair prices or dates become evident revised rates will apply to all
bookings including those made before the change.
If the change or changes result in your holiday costing you more, or
otherwise being materially different from that prior to the change
or changes being effected and in respect of which we have already
accepted your deposit or final balance, you may rearrange your
holiday or cancel. Monies already paid will be refunded less any
charges levied by suppliers.
LAW OF CONTRACT This contract is governed by the laws of the
state of New South Wales and any legal action arising therefrom
shall be litigated only in the appropriate court in that state having
jurisdiction in that claim.
Please note: Changes in operator and/or hotel, land costs,
airfares, taxes, fuel surcharges and currency exchange rates may
affect the price of particular travel arrangements. For these reasons,
it is essential that the agent/customer reconfirms all arrangements
at the time of booking and prior to paying the final payment.
