We’ll travel to the central area, 42 kms south of Pamplona, to the town of Olite and its Castle-Palace, the
court of kings and princesses in the Medieval Age and
a prime example of Gothic civil architecture in Navarre
and one of the most important in Europe. Olite is also
the wine Capital. We’ll visit one of the major wineries
in the area and discover the secrets of a good wine,
and of course, we’ll also get time to enjoy the excellent
cuisine for which the area is renowned.

Departure for a trip to the Central Area of Navarre. With its
landscapes dotted with vineyards and non-irrigated croplands. An area in which fortresses, palaces and castles appear around every corner, revealing its strategic importance
in the Middle Ages.

The first stop is Olite, a town that still maintains its structure of
medieval roads, lined with Renaissance and Baroque-style large
houses and palaces. Due to its nature and history, it is a place of
vineyards and wine.

You’ll visit the Royal Castle-Palace, the former court of
Charles III, the noble, and one of the most luxurious and wellconserved medieval castles in Europe. Admiring its whimsical
turrets, you can easily go back in time to the medieval period
and image what court life at the Palace was actually like.

You’ll then have time for a walk through this charming medieval
town and to visit the Museum of the Vine and Wine of Navarre
where you’ll be taken through the history of wine in the region
and can view the collection of bottles, machines and learn about
the influences of technology.

Before lunch, you’ll visit one of the most important wineries
in Olite and Navarre. As well as learning about the wine-making processes, there will also be a wine-tasting session.
Additionally, you can interact with the aromas of wine in its
didactic “Museum of Aromas”.

Lunch at the most presitious and traditional restaurant in Olite.

where you can view the vineyards and take in the aroma of
