SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM - Methacton School District
2014 Methacton Post Prom
SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM
It’s Showtime!
WHAT AND WHY IS POST PROM?
This is the high school’s 15th Post Prom and this year’s theme is
“Lights, Camera, Action... it’s Showtime!”
Methacton’s Post Prom is one of the largest, most successful post
proms in the area, attracting approximately 900 students!
Hundreds of volunteers from the parent-body and the wider
Methacton community come together every year to pull off this
incredible event. It is the premier post prom celebration in
Montgomery County! Every year some of the 300+ visitors that
tour the Community Walk-Thru include representatives from the
surrounding school districts who come to see and learn about this
amazing event.
The two highest risk nights for teens are after prom and graduation. Post Prom offers students a safe, drug, alcohol and tobacco
free option. This is not just another social event! Immediately
following the prom, students spend the entire night at the school
in a secure environment. The building is transformed with decorations, and activities are planned throughout the night including,
inflatable games, sporting events, casino tables, Wii games, a coffee house with student entertainers, and roving performers including fortune tellers, massage therapists, and balloon artists. Food
is available throughout the event. The highlight takes place in the
morning when Methacton Juniors and Seniors are eligible for
some amazing prizes including laptop computers, flat screen TVs,
iPods, iPads, DVD players, digital cameras, and video game systems just to name a few! The event is free to all Methacton juniors
and seniors and their dates. All monies raised and supplies used
come from donations made by parents, community members and
businesses. The cost to pull off this event is approximately $40,000!
Support for events such as Post Prom benefit everyone – the
students who are kept away from risky activities, the parents who
gain peace of mind, and the greater community in which the
students reside. Please help keep our kids safe!

All the parents and community volunteers who have made this
celebration possible!
W e would like to take this opportunity to thank our
entire cast and crew for making this year’s production,
“Light’s, Camera, Action…Its Showtime!” a success.
We are so fortunate to have such a dedicated, talented group
of people that work on this event all year long. Each and
every one of our supporting actors and actresses plays a major role in this most
amazing show. Without them we would be lost. A huge thank you to all of our
invisible performers, our designers and decorators, our set up and clean up crew
and all those who work diligently behind the scenes to make each Post Prom
better than the one before.
We would also like to thank all the coordinators and committee members
from Post Proms past for laying the foundation of this amazing event. On
this fifteenth anniversary of Methacton High School Post Prom we thank
them for their vision.
To the school administration and staff members, the community, parents and
students, Thank You for allowing us to be part of this very special evening.
Enjoy the show,
—Kim Beam, Karen Kilgour & Dana Reddington
