With four generations and over 50 years of grape
growing experience since 1938, McManis Family
Vineyards is now one of the premier wine and grape
producers in California . Owned and operated since
1990 by Ron and Jamie McManis, McManis Family
Vineyards now farms over 2000 acres of premium
wine grapes located throughout the Northern Interior
of California.
Today the McManis Family Vineyards and Winery
has much to offer its customers. Ultra premium
grape growing and winemaking methods prevail—
featuring selected rootstocks and clones, leaf pulling,
cluster thinning and drip irrigation in the vineyards.
Whole cluster
pressing, small lot
fermentation and
traditional oak
aging and storage
in the winery, all
designed to provide
the winemaking
team at McManis
Family Vineyards the
tools they need to
produce the finest
wines possible.

Our award winning winemaking team is
headed by industry veterans Jeff Runquist,
Mike Robustelli and Luke Holcombe. With
well over 45 years of winemaking knowledge,
experience and education between them,
they lead a talented staff of enologists and
cellar masters with an attitude that they can do
anything with effort and hard work. McManis
Family Vineyards provides its winemaking team
with not only state-of-the-art equipment, but
also the working environment to make the best
wines possible from the grapes grown.
While emphasizing viticultural practices that suit
the area and the soil types in which the grapes
are planted, the winemaking team matches the
best grapes to the unique conditions to make
a wine that best reflects that one-of-a-kind
combination. Each of the wines share a similar
theme of fresh fruit, reflective of varietal flavors
inherent in the grapes. If warranted, a wine
may be accented with just the right amount
of oak aging to further enhance its flavor and
complexity.

Pinot Grigio
Aromas and flavors of delicious ripe pears, apples,
apricots and honey with a wonderful fresh clean
finish. Drink before dinner as an accompaniment
to appetizers, or with any poultry, fish or lighter
pasta meals.
Viognier
Ripe peach and pear flavors dominate our
Viognier, which has a balanced clean finish. Drink
with light appetizers before dinner or with flavorful
lighter meals of fish, chicken and pasta.
Chardonnay
Pear, mango and other tropical fruits are the flavor
of the day for our Chardonnay with just a touch
of vanilla and hazelnut to finish it off. Creamy,
rich and delicious. Try with richer seafoods, white
sauce pastas and flavorful poultry.

Pinot Noir
You’ll find aromas and flavors of cherry,
strawberry and violets with a touch of vanilla in
our Pinot Noir. A long finish of rich berry flavors.
Wonderful with lighter beef and pork dishes, pastas
of all types and some richer seafood and poultry
recipes.
Merlot
Raspberry, blueberry and blackberries surge
through our Merlot with a hint of vanilla and
hazelnut on the nose. Try with medium to heavier
tomato sauces, red meats and stews.

Syrah
Currants and plums mingle with clove and
cinnamon to give our syrah a wonderful mix of
flavors and aromas. Couple that with the natural
richness with blueberries and blackberries and a
hint of cocoa and you have one of our more interesting wines. Rich and flavorful enough to go with
any traditional “red wine” dish – in addition to the
spicy dishes normally served with a Zinfandel.
Cabernet Sauvignon
A small amount of petit verdot adds complexity to
a wine already packed with blueberry, blackberry,
mocha and toffee flavors and aromas. Drink with
all types of medium to heavier sauces, red meats,
pork, stews and creamy cheeses.

Zinfandel
Our versatile Zinfandel is packed with raspberries,
blueberries and blackberries with just the
right amount of cinnamon and clove to give it a
wonderful spicy finish. Wonderful with mexican
foods, burgers, all types of red meat and pork.
Petite Sirah
Dark, rich, juicy, inky style with wonderful
boysenberry aromas and flavors. A hint of creamy
vanilla and light smoky character round out this
wine. Drink with hearty dishes, cheeses, red meats
and rich stews.

River Junction Appellation
Located at the confluence of the Stanislaus
and San Joaquin Rivers. The river basin
is a depository for cooler air and is
consistently 2-5 degrees cooler than the
surrounding farmlands. This cooler climate
combined with the soil quality make them
ideally suited for Pinot Noir, as well as
Chardonnay, Viognier and some of the
other whites currently offered by McManis
Family Vineyards.
Borden Ranch Appellation
Located in east central Lodi, it is the most
topographically diverse area of the Lodi
Appellation with elevations ranging from
73 feet in the west to 520 feet in the
east. The region features well drained,
stone-laden soils that are ideally suited
for well structured red wines such as our
Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
Clements Hill Appellation
Located in southeastern Lodi it is
characterized by rolling hills and cliffs
at the base of the Sierra Foothills. It is
generally warmer and wetter than western
Lodi and is particularly prized for growing
red varieties such as our Zinfandel, Syrah
and Petite Sirah.

You may think that first comes the earth and soil, then
the vines and grapes, and finally the wine. But that’s
not the way it is here at McManis Family Vineyards.
It’s the people. There are some very special people
who make it all work. They’re what comes first here,
because without them to carefully tend, blend, and
manage this unique combination of climate, soils,
vines, and water, we would be just like anybody else.
And we’re not!
