Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom and the power
and the glory forever. Amen.

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us
throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us
run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the
pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross,
scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider
him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and
lose heart.”

CONFESSION OF THE CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY
Prayer of Confession: (In Unison)
Dear Jesus, we come to you today thankful and grateful for all that you are
and all that you do. We thank you for those who have nurtured us in life.
Lord, we are humbled to know that you have poised a cloud of witnesses
around us to encourage us, to teach us, and to help us persevere. We
confess that there are times when we turn away from you and attempt to live
life in isolation. Lord, forgive us. Help us remember that you are a God who
wants us to live in community. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

WELCOME TEAM NEEDS YOUR HELP
The only requirement for being a part of the Welcome Team is to be friendly. Assisting
the committees with greeting people at the Information Booths is a wonderful way for
you to meet and get to know people. Handout information is well stocked at each
booth. Escorting people to the nursery or Sunday school classes or Souers Hall is
helpful. No meetings are required; just your presence with a smile. For more
information or to sign up, see Janet Albert at the Information Booth in the breezeway or
at [email protected] or (623) 466-9439.
