Palace Upper Lobby – The Upper Lobby at the Palace features a flexible space for almost
every occasion: gala dinners, receptions, award presentations, lectures, recruiting events.
• Dimensions: 120’ x 24’ (2,800 sq ft)
• Seating Capacity: Banquet – 200; Theater – 200; Standing Reception – 350
• Rental Fee: $1,500 - $1,950*
The Founders’ Room – The Founders’ Room is a bright, open space on the second floor
of the Palace that affords a bird’s eye view of downtown Stamford. This room is perfect for
small meetings or retreats.
• Dimensions: 22’ x 30’ (660 sq ft)
• Seating Capacity: Banquet – 40; Theater – 50; Standing Reception – 60
• Rental Fee: $400 - $525*
Café Teatro – Café Teatro is a perfect space for a cocktail party or small reception.
Located on the ground floor of the Palace, wall to wall windows give you a great view of
the vibrancy of downtown Stamford.

• Seating Capacity: Banquet – 50; Theater – 50; Standing Reception – 60
• Rental Fee: $375 - $500*
Sackler Gallery – The Sacker Gallery is an intimate space that is perfect for
presentations, lectures, or corporate cocktail party events.
• Dimensions: 75’ x 16’ (1,200 sq ft)
• Seating Capacity: Banquet – 50; Theater – 60; Standing Reception – 75
• Rental Fee: $300 - $400*
Palace Theatre - A Thomas Lamb-designed vaudeville house, The Palace was acclaimed
as “Connecticut’s Most Magnificent” when it opened in 1927. The theatre features a
larger-than-Broadway stage and a full range of theatrical equipment.

• Rental Fee: $3,375 - $4,950*

Additional Information
What’s Included
• All utilities and in-house equipment, outlined in our technical specs (when requested in advance),
are included in the rental cost.
• If your event is open to public sale, SCA will sell tickets for your event through the Box Office
and website. Our Marketing department will also help to promote your event through E-blasts –
our database has approximately 20,000 email addresses and grows continually. SCA will also
feature your event on our electronic marquis.
Additional Fees (Valid through 6/30/2012 and vary depending
on event & location)
• Expenses are comprised of stagehands, house management, cleaning and security. We will create
an itemized estimate of additional expenses upon request once a mutually agreeable date has been
found and held.
• Stagehands* - Are determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement
with I.A.T.S.E. Local 74.
• Stage Door Staff* - $19.00 per hour
• Police Officer - Per Stamford Police Department
• House Manager - $26.00 per hour (minimum 5 hours)
• Assistant House Manager - $17.00 per hour (minimum 5 hours)
• Ushers - $12.00 per hour
• Cleaning* - Palace Theatre $550.00 per clean (2nd performance on a single day add $175.00)
• House Piano is a Baby Grand. For a Concert Grand Piano,
contact Stamford Symphony at 203-325-1407.
• Piano Tuning - $125.00.
• Other details regarding labor are specified in the contract.
* You cannot use your own stagehands, security or cleaning people for your rental.
Stamford Center for the Arts staff is familiar with the equipment and the environment
and is critical to making your performance a success.
Rental Terms
• You will be required to sign a contract and put down a deposit towards the rent when you sign.
The balance of the rent and all estimated costs are due the business day before your event at noon.
All renters are required to be adequately insured, per the contract.
Catering
• All caterers must have a catering certificate and a certificate of insurance for the date/event
that they are covering. A food license does not always equal a catering certificate. If you have
questions about whether or not your caterer’s certificate falls under the guidelines of the
City of Stamford, please call Stacey Smith, Operations Manager, at 203-517-3425 for clarification.

The Palace Theatre, a 1584-seat Thomas Lamb-designed vaudeville house, was
acclaimed as “Connecticut’s Most Magnificent” when it opened in 1927. The theatre
