FESTIVAL HOURS:
Thursday, May 19 - Saturday, May 21: 11:00am – 11:00pm
Sunday, May 22: 11:00am – 6:00pm
Mayfest is an outdoor tribute to the arts and music that is a
family-oriented event created to promote a broader knowledge
of and appreciation for arts and humanities among serious,
as well as casual art lovers.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Letter from our Festival Chair:
On behalf of the Board of Directors, our sponsors and the rest of the
Mayfest family, welcome to the 44th Annual Tulsa International Mayfest!
During your visit to the festival we invite you to visit one of our
three indoor galleries:
•Our Youth Art Gallery, located in the PAC, features amazing art from
some of the most talented art students in Tulsa.
•Our newest gallery, the Pop Music Art Gallery features art from
students whose pieces were inspired by Peter Max, Andy Warhol
and Roy Lichtenstein.
•The Invitational Gallery, my personal favorite, not only features works
from over 80 local artists, but also is where you can view
and purchase this year’s original poster artwork “Namid: Star Dancer”
created by the talented Marjorie Atwood.
Additionally, we are proud to announce that we have over 120 Visual Artists
this year. Several have chosen to participate in our “Under $200 Program”
so there should be something affordable for everyone.
For the young art collectors, we are pleased to announce we will again
be offering Art Beginnings. For only $5, budding young art collectors can
choose a piece of art to start their very own collections. This tent will be
located in KidZone, a perfect place for families who come to Mayfest.
With more than 25 food vendors there will be tempting tastes available
for every palate!
Stimulate your auditory senses with one of our three music stages which
are sure to offer something for your musical tastes. Check the schedule in
this guide to see where and when your favorite bands will be performing.
The Mayfest Steering Committee and staff have worked long and hard this
year to bring you this award winning festival that is known as Mayfest.
We hope you have a great time.
Bruce B. Smith
Festival Chair

Advisory Committee (BPAC) has created maps to the major festival sites in
Tulsa as a tool to encourage festival-goers to ride bicycles and park at the
secure bicycle parking on-site at 3rd and Main provided by local nonprofit Tulsa Hub. Secure bicycle parking is available from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.,

Tulsa International Mayfest is committed to Going Green!
Do you want to be involved in helping Mayfest go green? If so, ride your bike to
the festival or carpool, use recycling stations for your plastic bottles, beer cups
and aluminum cans, drink local wine from Summerside Vineyards and use the
Mayfest Website or our mobile site at www.mayfestmobile.com to plan your
festival experience.
Secure Bicycle Parking:
Local non-profit Tulsa Hub will be providing their 8th year of secure bicycle
parking on-site at 3rd and Main. Secure bicycle parking is available from
11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and you may leave your unattended bicycle locked at your
own risk in the racks provided after-hours.
The mission of Tulsa Hub is to change lives through cycling; Tulsa Hub

Bicycling Workshop in downtown Tulsa. Bike donations and financial gifts
will be accepted during the secure parking hours (11 a.m.-9 p.m. ThursdaySaturday, 11 a.m.- 5 p.m. Sunday.) Become a member of the Tulsa Hub via
their website: www.tulsahub.orgTulsa Hub via their website: www.tulsahub.org.

everything from clay to wood. Market Artists are artists and craftsmen who
may feature items such as toys, folk art, hand-painted T-shirts, leather goods,
calligraphy, etc. Festival guests will be able to add to their collection by

in an after-school art program taught by Lauren Lunsford, local artist and
Mayfest Steering Committee member. The theme of the classes revolved
around music and pop art, and the students studied artists like Andy
Warhol. These students, who have no art program at their school, received
instruction in various mediums and types of art.
Their works are on display in the Pop Art Music gallery, located at the
Downtown YMCA at 418 S. Main. Pop Art Music is open 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Thursday and Friday, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.
