you are returning for more of Bequia’s special charm and laid-back hospitality - we’re so glad to have you back! This publication is
designed to help you get the most out of your stay here, however short, and we hope you find it useful.
Although a few businesses close at this time of year for essential maintenance and hard-earned annual staff vacations, Bequia still
has much to offer: Delightful restaurants and boutiques, great yacht provisioning, excellent marine supplies, beautiful uncrowded
beaches, friendly bars, island tours through lush, summer-fresh scenery, boat day trips, and much more…
The air-conditioned Bequia Tourism Association office at the end of the main jetty is open 6 days a week throughout September
and October as follows: Mon to Fri 9am - 5.30pm; Sats 9am - 1pm (September only), Sundays (October only) & Public Holidays
9am - 11.30am. Tourism Reps Vernamay Ollivierre and Sayie Ollivierre are there to help you with advice on what to do, where to
stay, ferry times, taxi rates and much more, so do take time to stop by for a visit. Postcards, stamps, and ice-cold bottled water are
all for sale there, along with souvenir T-shirts at bargain prices, courtesy flags and much more. And don't forget to pick up a FREE
copy of “Ins & Outs of St. Vincent & the Grenadines” and “Holiday Bequia” - wonderful publications packed full of invaluable
information about the island and this beautiful country.
Bequia’s bank BOSVG (off Back Street) is equipped with two 24-hour ATM machines which will accept most credit cards. If you
are on a yacht, our friendly Customs & Immigration officers in the Revenue Office will answer any questions you might have (see
opening times on page 4.) There are a number of internet access and WiFi hot spots in and around Port Elizabeth, so you should
have no trouble checking and sending your emails, browsing for news or getting the latest weather updates.
So just relax, unwind – and enjoy your stay!

Yacht Garbage Disposal
Ashore, there is only one place to dispose of yacht garbage
– the skips located off the Fish Market Jetty next to the Vegetable Market.
These are reserved exclusively for yachties’ use.
Alternatively, yacht garbage may be delivered “at sea” to Daffodil Marine
or other reliable water taxis
Charge usually $3.00 to $5.00 per bag.
Dumping in unauthorized places is a prosecutable offence!
