The Resort Boat Shop’s team of wood craftsmen build the legendary line of Coeur d’Alene Custom wood boats,
featured in Robb Report, Boat International and Yachting World. The shop restores wood boats and repairs
fiberglass, mechanical, canvas and upholstery.
Boardwalk Marina, Blackwell Island Marina and Silver Beach Marina have moorage for 1,000 boats. Lake
Coeur d’Alene Cruises offers daily scenic trips and private event charters.

The survey analyzes boat sales in Idaho for the year 2011. In
the category of bowriding boats, Cobalts were purchased much more frequently than any other boat. Cobalts comprised 12.7
percent of all boats sold for the year, while the closest competitor, Chaparral, was merely 5 percent.
In the area of wakeboard boats, Malibu and Axis had a combined 13.2 percent of sales, compared to 8.2 percent for M.B
Sports and only 3.2 percent for MasterCraft.

F
rom bow to stern, everything your boat might possibly need to look and perform her best is handled
here in this world-class facility. The 14 factory-trained, certified marine repair professionals have an
impressive array of skills and certifications.
For mechanical work, the Service Center crew is certified
for repair and maintenance of engines, sterndrives,
V-drives, direct drives, electrical systems and trailers. They
are also specialists at repowering your boat.
The team handles full detailing, including buffing, waxing,
cleaning inside and out, hull cleaning and sealing,
and head system flushing. Seasonal services include
summerization and winterization, boat loading and
launching, and storage options for boat and trailer.
When you need to upgrade your creature comforts onboard,
the Hagadone Marine Group Service Center handles rigging
and systems installations. See them for electronics and
navigation systems, heaters and A/C units, hot showers, and
an audio system that will give you the best-sounding music
on the water!
Maybe there’s been an “incident” and it’s time for some
structural or cosmetic repairs. We are experts in fiberglass
and gelcoat repairs, as well as insurance claims, collision
and storm damage. They are also happy to take care of
painting anything from custom graphics and ID numbers to
a fresh coat of bottom paint. The shop even handles canvas
repairs and custom canvas work.
The Service Center is authorized to carry out warranty
repairs on multiple boat lines: Cobalt, Malibu, Axis,
Marquis, Carver, and Regal Boats along with, Mercruiser
and Volvo Penta inboard outboards plus Indmar and
Crusader inboards. We can handle most all independent
extended warranties.
The bottom line? This team of professionals takes care of
everything so you can enjoy the pure fun of boating.

Coeur d’Alene Custom launches
newest craft
T
hese magnificent craft combine excellent design with
meticulous craftsmanship.
Jim Brown, master wood craftsman, and the rest of his
experienced team are relentlessly committed to detail.
The results show in beautiful lines, sweet handling, and a
smooth ride.
“We’ve built a lot of traditional planked boats over the
years,” Brown says. “Over time we’ve honed our skills to
keep them a little bit cleaner, a little bit nicer, a bit lighter…
and just better.”
Some of those are the Coeur 60 Sizzler, a magnificent
sailboat profiled in Yachting World and Robb Report, and the
Coeur 34 Jefe, winner of multiple shows including Desert
Storm on Lake Havasu.
The shop is also proud to announce the launch of two brand
new designs, the Coeur 29 and Coeur 30. These newest
boats are a combination of traditional and high-tech building
practices. They have traditional double-planked bottoms,
with double gusseted frames and continuous oak battens
behind the seams, put together with modern glues and
fasteners. Laminating the high load points of the hulls
gives the boats a more comfortable ride and a longer life.
“These are very advanced hull designs,” Brown said. “It’s a
very smooth ride, whisper quiet, and the efficiency makes it
easy on the pocketbook at the gas dock.”
The hulls are built to be extremely smooth and efficient,
getting up and out of the water easily by maximizing the
energy produced by the power train. Part of this secret is a
unique configuration
of lift chine and
strakes designed into
the hull. The running
surface of these
hulls has also been
extended. Coupled
with deep-V 20-degree
dead rise, the hull
design achieves the comfort and ride of a much larger boat.
“The thing that sets our custom wood boat line apart is
our craftsmen,” said Craig Brosenne, General Manager of
Hagadone Marine Group. “This level of quality comes from
what’s prescribed by the owner, and then what our craftsmen
put into it.”
