PRECIOUS MATERIALS
The Day-Date has always embodied prestige and exclusivity. A hallmark
of its nobility, the Day-Date’s Oyster case is produced exclusively in 950
platinum or in 18 ct gold. The bezel can be fluted, smooth or, on the gemset versions, arrayed in the most beautiful of precious stones.
A choice of unique dials in refined colours and textures enhances this
timeless symbol of excellence.

Function of the Day-Date 36
MONDAY, LUNDI...
Initially presented in 1956, the Day-Date was a world first. The first watch
to indicate the day of the week spelt out in full. Worn by many world
leaders, the Day-Date is available with a bespoke day display in a wide
choice of languages.

Spirit of the Day-Date 36
LEADERSHIP
Rolex watches have long been associated with those who have, over time,
guided the destiny of the world. No matter how different their vision, their
field of excellence or their achievements, many of these exceptional men
and women have one thing in common: the Day-Date.

Features
OYSTER CASE
The Oyster case is guaranteed waterproof to a depth of 100 metres (330
feet). Its middle case is crafted exclusively from a solid block of 950
platinum or 18 ct gold. The fluted case back is hermetically screwed down
with a special tool exclusive to Rolex.
Another core component in the watertight structure is the winding crown
fitted with the patented Twinlock double waterproofness system, which
screws down securely against the case. The sapphire crystal is clamped
tight by the bezel. The Oyster case provides the high-precision Rolex
movement with optimal protection from water, dust, pressure and shocks.

Features
LEATHER STRAPS AND
GOLD FOLDING CLASP
The straps of the new Day-Date combine the comfort and nobility of
alligator leather with the convenience of a new 18 ct gold adjustable
Crownclasp. This folding clasp is effortless to use and allows the length of
the strap to be easily adapted.

Features
OYSTER BRACELET
The Oyster bracelet is a perfect alchemy of form and function, aesthetics
and technology. Introduced in the late 1930s, this particularly robust metal
bracelet with its broad, flat three-piece links remains the most universal
bracelet in the Oyster collection.
9
Features
PRESIDENT BRACELET
This metal bracelet with semi-circular three piece links was created in
1956 for the launch of the Oyster Perpetual Day-Date. Representing the
ultimate in refinement and comfort, and made of carefully selected
precious metals, the President bracelet was specifically designed for the
exclusive Day-Date. It is also available on some versions of the Datejust in
precious metals. The President bracelet is fitted with a concealed
Crownclasp.

Features
3155 MOVEMENT
The Day-Date 36 is equipped with calibre 3155, a self‑winding mechanical
movement entirely developed and manufactured by Rolex. It features a
day and date calendar disc mechanism. Like all Rolex Perpetual
movements, the 3155 is a certified Swiss chronometer, a designation
reserved for high-precision watches that have successfully passed the
Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC) tests. Its architecture,
in common with all Oyster watch movements, makes it singularly reliable.
12
Features
SUPERLATIVE
CHRONOMETER
The green seal accompanying every Rolex watch is a symbol of its status
as a Superlative Chronometer. This exclusive designation attests that it
has successfully undergone a series of specific final controls by Rolex in
its own laboratories according to its own criteria, in addition to the official
COSC certification of its movement. This unique testing of the
chronometric precision of the cased-up movement, as well as of the
watch’s waterproofness, self-winding and power reserve, pushes back
the boundaries of performance and makes Rolex the benchmark for
excellence in mechanical watches. The green seal is coupled with a
five‑year guarantee which applies to all Rolex models.
