Hot Spring Water for “Misogi”
“Misogi” is a Japanese term that means purifying
one’s body with river or sea water before performing
a Shinto ritual. Please stay overnight in Toba Onsengo and take a morning hot spring bath for physical
and mental purification before you visit Ise Grand
Shrine.
A lot of fresh seafood delicacies including sea bream, lobsters,
abalones, octopuses and oysters can be caught in the beautiful
blue sea of Toba. Moreover, female divers known as “ama”
