Pumps Since 1870
Myers was founded in 1870 by Francis and Philip Myers in Ashland, Ohio. The brothers
began by building farm implements and then engineered and manufactured the first
double-acting hand pump that delivered water on both the up and down strokes.
From this modest beginning, the Myers pump line grew and evolved over the decades
to include wastewater removal and industrial pumps and systems. In 1960 the
Myers family sold the business to the McNeil Corporation of Akron, Ohio. In 1986 the
business was acquired by Pentair, and is now part of this $8 billion corporation’s water
products group.

The Pentair facility in Ashland is located on 80 acres and operates in a modern
410,000 square foot manufacturing, distribution, foundry, and office facility, employing
approximately 600 people dedicated to supplying top quality jet and submersible well
pumps; utility, sump and sewage pumps; effluent pumps; non-clog and other large
waste handling pumps; and high pressure reciprocating and centrifugal pumps and
pumping systems for residential, agricultural, commercial, municipal and industrial
applications for North America and more than 100 foreign countries.

Solid Fiberglass (non-skid available)
The solid fiberglass is constructed with continuous mat or
chopped-strand glass fiber reinforcement with a minimum
thickness of 0.325 inch, is green in color and is mounted to
the wet well with six 300 series stainless steel fasteners.
Steel Hatch
The wet well (and integral valvebox) cover shall be
constructed of 0.375 inch thick black enameled ASTM A36
structural steel plate and features a recessed handle and
locking pin.
Aluminum Hatch
The wet well (and integral valvebox) cover is constructed of
0.250 inch thick mill finish aluminum diamond plate with
300 series stainless steel hardware and features a recessed
handle and locking pin.

Control Operation
On water rise, fluid level
reaches pump “start” probe
to activate the pump. Pump
remains on until fluid level
is below the “off” probe. The
“off” probe senses air or
oil and turns the pump off
so the oil layer (if present)
will not be pumped out of
the sump. If the liquid level
reaches the“alarm” probe
and mechanical float, the
system will differentiate
between water and oil and
activate the remote alarm.

SEAL LEAK DETECTOR
• Designed to monitor and protect the shaft seal and motor
housing of the pump. The probe is installed in the seal

Our warranty will not apply to any product that, in our sole judgement, has been subject to negligence, misapplication, improper
installation, or improper maintenance. Without limiting the foregoing, operating a three phase motor with single phase power
through a phase converter will void the warranty. Note also that three phase motors must be protected by three-leg, ambient
compensated, extra-quick trip overload relays of the recommended size or the warranty is void.
Your only remedy, and MYERS’s only duty, is that MYERS repair or replace defective products (at MYERS’s choice). You must pay
all labor and shipping charges associated with this warranty and must request warranty service through the installing dealer as
soon as a problem is discovered. No request for service will be accepted if received after the Warranty Period has expired. This
warranty is not transferable.
