Official Proceedings December 21, 2015 6:00 PM Watson Elementary School The Marion County Board of Education met in regular session on Monday, December 21, 2015 at Watson Elementary School. Members Present: Janet Crescenzi(ABSENT), Mr. Thomas Dragich, Mr. Richard Pellegrin, Dr. Babette Simms and Mrs. Mary Jo Thomas President, Richard Pellegrin gave the invocation and Jone Hersch led the Pledge of Allegiance. Recognition of WV Reading Teacher of the Year- Jone Hersch Recognition of Alex Carling, Senior - Outstanding Actor Award from WVU Theater Association Returning at 6:49. Dr. Simms made a motion, seconded by Mr. Dragich, to approve the following: 17- 2000 MINUTES - AGREEMENTS - CONTRACTS 2654 Minutes The approval of the minutes for December 7, 2015 ATTACHMENT ATTACHMENT 2655 Lombardi Development - Payment MCTC Repairs and Renovations The approval of the payment to Lombardi for repairs and renovations of Marion County Technical Center in the amount of 170,194.49. FUNDING: County 2654 2655 2657 ATTACHMENT 2657 Apral Foreman- Contract Agreement The approval of the contracted agreement with Apral Foreman for performing functional behavior assessments PAGE 2 and observations. FUNDING: County 2658 Talent Assessment, Inc. - Two Practical Assessment Exploration Systems ATTACHMENT 2658 The approval of the Purchase and Two Practical Assessment Exploration System - Standard for East Fairmont High School and Fairmont Senior High School, in the amount of 53,341.20. FUNDING: Federal IDEA Funds 2659 Virco, Inc. - Furniture- Barrackville Elementary Lab ATTACHMENT 2659 The approval of the purchase of nine tables and forty chairs for Barrackville Elementary Middle School from Virco, Inc. to support the new computer lab, in the amount of $6,408.66. FUNDING: County 2660 Application to Conduct Research - Chris Brown ATTACHMENT 2660 The approval of the Application to Conduct Research in Marion County. The study is to study stakeholders' conceptions and understandings of the purpose, value, and practice of kindergarten. 2661 Zides Sport Shop - Track Equipment NMHS ATTACHMENT 2661 The approval of the purchase of measuring devices, and gold solution for the track equipment at North Marion High School in the amount of $28,499.00. FUNDING: County 2662 Potesta - MCTC Project ATTACHMENT The approval of the payment to Potesta for work at Marion County Technical Center in the amount of $7,013.60.
