9-15-16 Dear Parents, Tomorrow is Picture Day! Dress your little
9-15-16
Dear Parents,
Tomorrow is Picture Day! Dress your little darlings up, practice their best
smile, and send them in to us! It's always such fun to see what they wear
on picture day and to imagine the smiles on the faces of your Christmas card
recipients. It's such a smile for us! Pictures will be taken first thing in the
morning so as to preserve that hair style upon which you worked so hard!
We have a wonderful weekend coming up, with promises of both sunshine
and showers. Take advantage of this down time with your child as we
approach the cooler days of autumn. As the days grow discernibly shorter,
the minutes seem to fly more quickly. Spend time watching the slow turning
of the leaves. Catch a football game, or an end of season baseball
game. Celebrate the liturgy with your parish family. Thank God for the
blessings with which He has showered you in the person of your precious
child!
Fondly,
Mickey Tovey

September 15, 2016
Dear Parents/Guardians,
My name is Sister Adele Human and I will be working at St. John the Baptist to provide
coordination of social work services for students. I am contracted through Hands of Hope
Counseling at Catholic Charities Diocese of Joliet. I will be consulting with teachers, school staff,
and parents to assist in meeting the needs of the student. When appropriate, I will provide
classroom interventions, individual and group services to meet the developmental, preventive,
and academic needs of these students. Because of my experience and training as a social
worker, I am also aware of resources in the community. There are times when school
counseling services could be more effective if the student and family are also supported by
community agencies.
A student can self-refer for school social work services or they can be referred by a teacher, a
staff member, or a parent. After meeting with a student, the social worker will assess if the
student is appropriate for continuing services. When a decision is made for school social work
services, parents will be contacted and asked to sign a consent form to meet with a student.
You may also be asked to sign a Release of Information if needed in order to coordinate
services with outside professionals. I believe that the best way to help a student is to work as a
team with parents, staff and administration of the school.
Please feel free to call me at 336-782-7325 or email me at [email protected] if you have any
questions or would like to make an appointment to speak about your child. I will be at St. John
the Baptist each Monday.
Sincerely,
Sister Adele Human, OP, LCSW

La Escuela de San Juan Bautista

Winfield, IL 60190
El 15 de setiembre, 2016
Estimados Padres/Guardianes,
Atentamente,
Hermana Adela Human, OP, LCSW
