Using a Cannon® Downrigger
Whether your’re trolling open water for
Mackerel or pulling Snapper off
structure, a Cannon® Downrigger
instantly gives you controlled depth and
more accurately positioned bait
presentation. No matter what species
you’re after, fish have nowhere to hide.
Controlled depth fishing lets you get your lure where the fish are, and keep it
there. Cannon® Downriggers are designed to make the whole process as
effortless as possible, so you can spend more time fishing. Here’s how they
work.

Attach And Lower
Down With The Weight
To rig, attach the weight (or
Cannon® ball) to the cable, and
use a “line release” to attach the
weight to the line. Place the rod in
the rod holder and lower the
weight to your desired depth.
While trolling, the weight of the
Cannon® ball keeps your lure at your
desired depth and allows it to “swim”
more naturally behind the weight. On
some Cannon® Downriggers, you can
cycle the weight up or down, or keep
it a set distance from the bottom.
“Run Deep” with the bottom tracking abilities of
Cannon® to stay a consistent distance from the
bottom, even when depth changes*.
For total coverage of the water below, use a
Uni-Stacker to fish at multiple depths off of a
single weight.
Get the edge you need with our unique fish
enticing features, like cycling your Downriggers
up and down to raise and lower bait.

Stainless Steel Spool
Control Digi-Troll™ using its innovative LCD screen.
Designed for tournament fishing, it eliminates the
noise vibration and harmonics created when trolling
with a steel cable. Capable of supporting either
monofilament or any of the popular “super lines.” You’ll get
silent trolling and proven Cannon® performance.
Positive Ion Control
Short Stop
Retrieves the weight easily and automatically, just
press a button and let Short Stop automatically
retrieve the weight. Stopping the weight at water level
eliminates the cable strain caused by a bouncing weight or
a weight hitting the boom end, preventing boat and
Downrigger damage.
Cannon® Manual Downrigger
Emits a fish attracting field of positive ions around
the cable. Your boat emits negative ions, which can
detract fish from coming near. Positive ion control releases a
field of positive ions around the cable to bring the fish back
where they belong - on your line.

Designed to organise rod and reel combinations. Utilises rod hanger to lock rod tips in position plus adjustable 316
stainless steel spring pin reel hanger which securely locks reel in position. Reel hanger is easily adjusted to suit a wide
range of trolling reels and provides a base which ensures rods do not dislodge in rough conditions. Hidden installation screws and

- Stainless Steel
Quality mounting post and holder designed for use with bait tables or boards allowing for their removal or
repositioning. Constructed from 35mm diameter heavy duty stainless steel each post has a flat pre-drilled top for
the direct mounting of the bait board and keyed base to prevent rotation when inserted into the post holder.
The stainless steel post holder features a plastic insert designed to ensure the post is held snugly in position plus 6mm
diameter gimbal pin for tube alignment. A single heavy duty post and post holder set is ideal for mounting a smaller bait board
while larger boards will require two sets. Each set includes one post and one holder, available in
