Pick a team and come out to cheer them on! For more information FIREBALL RUN SPACE RACE After handling a landlord/tenant dispute, K-9 Officer Allston and his partner, Cooper, found a way to make the pre-teen boys who had been indirectly involved in the dispute feel better. Cooper, a six year-old Belgian Malanois drug detection dog, interacted with the kids who were enamored with the friendly K-9. Any positive interaction with the public, especially children and teenagers, is a great way to show that police officers do care about the community they serve and want to make a positive difference in someone’s life. Meanwhile near the wharf late last month Officer Paul Allston was on routine patrol in the area of Battery Park around 1am Cooper making more new friends when he discovered a homeless family, a wheelchair bound woman in her 70’s, a 16 year-old girl and her parents had no money, food or a place to stay. They had been dropped off at the park earlier in the evening by an unknown non-profit organization who had been attempting to assist them. Ultimately, Allston and S/Cpl. John Pullin re-located the entire family at a motel for two nights. Allston gave the family money for food and paid for the room for two nights out of his own pocket. Not stopping there, Allston made further phone calls during that week in an attempt to get the family resources and assistance. They are now in a temporary shelter and have been referred to social services and are in the process of being relocated. discovered by Johann Gottfried Golle. 1846, mKeystone Comedy by Mack Sennett was released. 1912, Richard Nixon gave his mCheckers Speech. 1952, Honeycomb by Jimmie Rodgers shared the top spot. 20 A patent was granted for "synthetic fiber" (nylon) m 1957, mThe Jetsons" premiered. 1962 to Wallace H.
