The Muslim Consultative Network bridges the gap between faith, community and action. We provide NYC Muslims the tools to make an impact
in their own backyards through trainings, events and activities in four
program areas: Interfaith, Health Education, Community Empowerment
and Social Justice.
Founded in 2003 as a network of Muslim activists and volunteers, we
have tirelessly responded to civil rights challenges facing our community
since 9/11. We aspire to reach across boundaries of race, ethnicity,
gender, class and religious identity to build safe, supportive and civically
engaged communities free from discrimination.
Our name indicates that we are inspired by the Islamic principle of Shura
or mutual consultation, to ensure that all voices are represented at the
table when decisions are made. As we strive to reflect and address the
diverse needs of our New York City Muslim Community, we welcome input from our partners and constituents. Contribute: MCN is incorporated in New York State and is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Tax-deductible and Zakat compliant contributions
