For Difficult Stoma Conditions
The Torbot custom ostomy system is a completely individualized approach to ostomy
appliances. Not all ostomy users have the same needs and conditions, particularly in the case
of an irregularly shaped stoma or a stoma sited in a difficult area. The Torbot custom ostomy
system allows you to have a securely fitting appliance.
The system consists of two main components: faceplate or disc and pouch. Key features of the
faceplate are:
 Complete individualization as necessary for superior fit, elimination of leakage problems
 Convenience of two-piece system
 Most economical and enduring solution
In addition to the main elements of the system, various accessories are available to enhance
the wearability, convenience and security of the system.
Custom Components
Custom faceplates are the key component of the Torbot custom ostomy system. There are two
types of customization available: (1) modification of one of the standard discs to the size of the
stoma opening and (2) construction or sculpting the face of the disc to conform to the individual
body contours.
Trained Torbot personnel will work directly with you, preferably in conjunction with a medical
professional to assess the appropriate degree of customization.
Customizing the Standard Faceplate
If you are experiencing leakage and other problems with existing products, the opening can be
modified from one of our four standard plastic discs. These are available in four convexities:
flat, regular, medium convex and deep convex for recessed or retracted flush stomas.







Complete Custom
Complete customization may be appropriate in especially difficult situations. Some of these
conditions include highly
uneven areas
surrounding the stoma,
many indentations,
herniated areas
surrounding the stoma,
highly irregular body
contours and problematic
sitings of the stoma.
Custom Faceplates are
actually built up from a standard faceplate. A clay model is made conforming to the exact body
contours so that the disc fits comfortably and snugly.

Does Torbot take my insurance?
Torbot is not a participating provider in any insurance plan. As a service we will submit your
claim for you. This is how it works:

One of our knowledgeable customer care specialists will process your order and let you
know what documentation that you need to provide to us for your particular insurance
plan.

We will process your order with care and privacy.

We will accept your payment by check, Visa or MasterCard.

We will process your claim with your insurance company and they will pay you directly.
Can I order Torbot products from my regular supplier?
Yes, you can! W e have built relationships with most major medical suppliers who carry the
TORBOT line of products. W e will work with your current supplier to provide you with the quality
products that you expect. In the event that your current supplier does not carry the Torbot line
we are happy to contact them and arrange for you to receive your products.
I have no insurance. Can I order all my medical supplies directly from Torbot?
We are happy to provide you with all your medical supplies. W e understand the healthcare

Reusable Two-Piece System
TORBOT Two-Piece pouching system consists of a pouch attached to a reusable faceplate that is
attached to the body and supported by a belt. The faceplate is held in
place with adhesive and the pouch can be changed while the faceplate
remains in position. Faceplates can be used with disposable or reusable
pouches.





Faceplates are adaptable to any shape or size stoma.
Support with a belt system
May be used with adhesives or adhesive seals.
Use Torbot faceplates with Torbot pouches.
Standard opening is round, but we can accommodate any
shape or size stoma.

Made from durable, odor resistant natural rubber, TORBOT Rubber Faceplates are comfortable and
secure. Rubber faceplates may be customized with a special opening to meet special stoma shape
requirements or for comfort reasons by flattening the top and/or bottom of the disc. Available to fit stoma
openings from ½” to 1-3/4”. Specify Opening.

Reusable Urostomy Pouches
Rubber Pouches
Made of high quality butyl rubber, these pouches are designed to be used by ostomates with urine
drainage. They are available in four sizes to accommodate varying degrees of output and have a smaller,
narrower spout with special plastic urinal outlet. The average usage of a PAIR of pouches is
approximately 3 months and the size of the pouch is directly related to the person’s output.



Double Sided Adhesive
Torbot double-sided Adhesive Seals are used to hold the Ostomy appliance to the skin. These are
easier to use than our liquid cement and are ideal for those Ostomates that cannot tolerate liquid
adhesives. All consist of a base layer, sandwiched between two layers of a non-toxic, FDA approved

greater comfort. Especially good for problem or sensitive stoma conditions such
as mushroom stomas, prolapse, scar tissue and herniated conditions.

TORBOT Atlantic™ is a customized one-piece synthetic rubber reusable pouching system that is
available in three different convexities and several different pouch sizes. All
pouches have either a right or left outlet.





Specify any size or shape opening in 1/16” increments; up to 2”.

Helpful Hint: It is recommended that the outlet be located away from the crotch. If the stoma is located
