Spotlight on Business:
Hair-N-More
Hair-N-More first opened in Auburn in
October of 1976, and while owner Vicki
Erismon has seen styles come and go,
her favorite part of the job has
remained the same throughout the
years: her customers.
Vicki and her two additional stylists
have worked their magic on women,
men and children for decades, with
loyal clients swearing by the results.
They offer hair cutting and styling,
highlights and lowlights, special
occasion coiffures, gel manicures, facial
waxing, and more. If your beauty
routine requires it, you can probably
get it done in this friendly shop.
Walk-ins are welcomed where time
permits, but appointments are always
appreciated as well. In fact, several
clients have weekly standing
appointments for far into the future.
Vicki says the she enjoys the
relationships she has built with her
clients, and really loves when children
come to the shop.
In addition to salon services offered
there, Hair-N-More also offers a wide
variety of hair care products, purses,
scarves and accessories.
This October will be their 40th
anniversary, so stay tuned for details
on the upcoming celebration!

Neighbor to Neighbor Program of Nemaha County
Celebrates 20 Years
The Nemaha County Neighbor To
Neighbor began in 1996 as an affiliate
of the Martin Luther Home Faith in
Action respite care program for families
of special needs children. That
affiliation ended a couple of years later,
but Neighbor To Neighbor continued
with a focus on providing non-medical
assistance to the elderly to help them to
live independently.
Currently, Neighbor To Neighbor
utilizes volunteers age 60 and over to
assist clients. Clients must be either
age 60 and over OR be an adult with a
severe disability to qualify for
assistance.
Types of services are offered dependent
upon the availability of volunteers, and
typically include:
Transportation
Friendly visits in person
Telephone visits
Light housekeeping
Seasonal yard clean up
Temporary light meal preparation
Minor home repair
Laundry
Respite Care
