Spotlight on Business: Southeast Design
Since taking over ownership of
Southeast Design in the early
summer of 2014, Logan and
Emilie Merz have been quietly
building and expanding their
printing empire. Logan, a
native of Falls City, and Emilie,
a Millard/Omaha transplant,
are pretty much a one-stop
shop for all of your screen
printing and embroidery needs.
They also offer vehicle wraps,
sign printing and custom
marketing materials like pens
and koozies.
They also have a wide variety
of discs available for your next
round of disc golf.
Logan says he comes from a
long line of self-employed
entrepreneurs and was really
intrigued by the idea of being
his own boss. He also says his
favorite part of this job is the
ever-changing nature of the
work he is requested to do for
clients. Creativity and new
design ideas make sure no two
days are the same.
Southeast Design is also very
excited to announce the
opening of their new Peru
store, known as the Cat Cave
and located in the Student
Center. This store will be the
only local licensed retailer for
all Peru State College
merchandise, so be sure to
watch Facebook for details on
this location’s grand opening!

Farewell from Executive Director Jessica Lechner
I wanted to take a moment to say
goodbye to all of the wonderful
people I have gotten to know over
the last year as the Chamber’s
Executive Director. This has been
an excellent opportunity for me to
get involved with my community
and I will always be grateful for
the friendships I have formed
while here.
Volume 2016 ∙ Issue 8
Thank you all for allowing me to
be a part of your business’ daily
routine and believing in my
vision for the Chamber. The
encouraging words from
Members have been most
appreciated. Thank you as well to
the Ambassadors and Directors
who have supported me over
these last twelve months.
I will still be in the Auburn
area, and will look forward to
seeing you all when I’m out
and about. Please don’t
hesitate to say hello!
Sincerely,
Jessica Lechner
