Coraki Public School Tuesday 9th August Where? School Grounds – Oval. When? Tuesday 9th of August, after recess until the end of the day. Why? To showcase the billy carts made by Years 3 and 4 and to have fun through billy cart races, relays and obstacle courses. Prizes will be awarded in different categories! More info to come! Coraki Public School Tuesday 16th August. What? Science Week Celebration and Lego building competition – a great opportunity to promote Science within the school community! Where? The Science and Technology Room at Coraki Public School. When? Tuesday 16th August – between lunch and recess. Why? To showcase student work from a variety of topics from Science and Technology work. Sacrament of Confirmation. Confirmation Meeting Tonight; Wednesday 22nd June. Parents who have children in Year 2 or above who have been baptised and would like to receive the next sacrament of initiation are invited to attend a Confirmation Information Night at St Joseph’s Coraki tonight at 5:30pm in the Stage 2 classroom. Soup will be served prior to the meeting commencing. Next Term the children will be beginning their preparation for receiving the Gifts of the Holy Spirit in the Sacrament of Confirmation on Sunday 28th August. The Confirmation Ceremony will be presided by the Most Reverend Geoffrey Jarrett DD Bishop of Lismore. This year, the Coraki Parish has adopted the family-centred Sacramental program again to assist parents in supporting and being part of their child’s faith journey in a meaningful and special way. It involves families forming small groups to come together for sessions prior to the celebration. The supporting parent/s and child/children receiving the sacrament would attend the sessions.
