At the end of last Term we had a busy NAIDOC week here at school with activities. Please have a look at some of the pictures. (Also available on Facebook!) Make it a great night out with your friends! ROCK UP ON THE DAY For all the families, bring blankets and low chairs to the main event from 6pm and sit in Karl’s picnic, riverside with access to the traditional medieval BBQ and bar. Your ticket includes; Viking village access, and as locals, you can buy your ticket in the morning when the village opens at 10am and stroll through the village and markets, then come back ready to be entertained at 6pm. Ask at the community tent for your pass-out. $15 is a bargain for a family of 2 adults and 2 kids, or individuals can pay $5 to get in. When we last updated the Pink Paper readers, we had won funding from the Quarry but hadn’t yet received the money. The money is now received and our volunteers are working to get the equipment in that’s needed for regular cinemas. Look out for a monthly schedule coming soon! NEXT MAJOR EVENTS We’ve pulled the pin on our October riverside event when we’d heard from the Cooee Community Fundraisers they were aiming for the same thing.
