Berninghaus WORK OF ART WAS EXAMINED: Framed Unframed Matted Under Glass CONDITION SUMMARY: Abrasions/rub Cracks Paint Loss Staining Other: UNDER UV: Black Lighted Craquelure Spots Indication of: Inpainting CONDITION OF FRAME: Loss/Flaking Splits/Cracks Overall condition of painting: Excellent Creases Surface Soiling Indentations Overpainting General Wear & Tear Good Fair Poor SUMMARY: This painting is in overall excellent condition. Under UV a few spots of inpainting are evident along the top edge and left side, but the canvas is otherwise bright and clear. The gilt frame shows signs of general wear and tear as well as splitting in the corners, but is stable and also in excellent condition.
