Hello Friends,
Summer is in full swing; we have had some great times already the Crawfish
& Shrimp Broil was a huge success and there is more to come. We have the
Parrot Heads on the River, Monte Carlo Night.
Still to look forward to Happy Hour and Board Meetings that end up on the
weekend, most of us don’t have to work the next day so we can all hang out
and enjoy our great friends even longer. Here are our upcoming house parties,
Trudy and Steve Bowels, Bobbing, Floating and Boating, Linda Orrell’s Pool
Party, and Tim and Becky Elliot’s Chili Cook-off. If you want to have a party at
your house, we can work that out too.
Have fun and safe summer.
“Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working
together is success.”

Exceptional Equestrian participant demonstrations, delicious food and unlimited wine,
and opportunities to support the program through a silent and live auction.
The Route 66 PHC collected bottles of liquor to donate to their silent auction. Linda
Orrell spearheaded this and saw to it that the liquor was packaged in 3 awesome
baskets for the auction. The liquor baskets raised $90, $105 and $140. Making our
contribution to this organization $335.

Crawfish/Shrimp Boil 2016
On June 4, 2016, we held our 3rd annual Crawfish and Shrimp Boil. This year’s boil
proved to be following in the tradition of growing the event. 150 advanced tickets were
sold, plus several pay at the door attendees paid to listen to the music and participate in
the fun activities.
Due to the forecast, it was decided to move the festivities indoors. We were fortunate to
secure the Knights of Columbus hall in Sullivan on VERY short notice. We were
successful in contacting all ticket holders of the change of venue.
Special thanks to Linda Orrell who furnished the event insurance, Steve Bowles for his
music, tips & equipment, Laura Palazzolo for the games, Trudy & Steve Bowles for the
corn & potatoes, Bank of Sullivan for the tent, Mullaly Distributing for the wristbands,
Becky Barker for the photo booth, Tim & Becky Elliott for the Slap Your Mama
seasoning, MB Fitzgerald for the table coverings, Mike Fuchs and Rich Ray for cooking,
Pam Ray for the tickets and all who helped with set up, day of event and clean up.
When all was said and done, we collected $832 in goods donated and $2350 in monies
for Russell House. The check presentation is pending.

The 2016 MOTM Schedule Update
I wanted to mention one segment from MOTM 2016 this month that should be some real PHun. The Beachside Album hour as always will feature a Jimmy Buffett album from beginning to end with as many Coral Reefers as we can
put on the stage. The core band this year will be Ramajay Intercoastal with lots of Coral Reefer Band support. Coral
Reefer Alumni Keith Sykes will be joining the band for the album which he played and wrote the two songs “The
Coast of Marseille” and “The Last Line.” The album for the 25th annual Meeting of the Minds is the 1978 classic “Son
of a Son of a Sailor.”
I also want to give Keith a shout-out for his most recent release “Songs From a Little Beach Town.” http://keithsykes.
com/ He just hit the top of the chart last week with this single. I think everyone should go hit the “buy” button on
this one. Remember Keith will be happy to shake your hand and sign all your cds at MOTM 2016! Don’t miss Keith
all over the MOTM stages.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Kbl3txU_xw
Also don’t forget Ramajay is releasing their brand new CD JAMBOULÉ just before MOTM 2016!
I also wanted to mention as I always do that things will be added to the schedule even the day of the show. Since I
last emailed an update there has been an addition to Friday night at MOTM 2016! Jerry Diaz will again be leading
the Midnight Jam on the Beach at 11:30! Stand by to see some of your favorite artists that could not fit and a few
who could fit into our tightly-packed MOTM schedule. This all follows “THE YOUNG GUNS of TROP ROCK”
which will be quite a show in itself. I will embellish the young guns in an upcoming email but you want to be there
for the evening! On the beach at the Casa Marina!
I’m not through with schedule updates so stand by for further updates!
