In a two-player game, put one team of Autobots and one of Decepticons out of the game. In the fourplayer game, the two Autobot players team up to battle against the two Decepticon players. Shuffle the Territory cards and deal the top eight cards onto the table as shown. Shuffle the Mission Control cards and put them in a pile nearby. Decide who is playing Autobots and who is playing Decepticons, and give each player one set of cards. Players, shuffle your cards, place them face down and put the top three cards out of the game. These Robots need to rest before they can go into battle again! You have a team of 10 Robots. Hold the top five in your hand and leave the other five face down in a pile. These are your reserves. Nemesis Bridge On Your Turn Turn over the top Mission Control card and read the instructions to find out what to do. This will affect everyone on this turn unless the card specifies that only Autobots or Decepticons are affected. Use Large Power Number 9 4 You are the attacker. Choose a territory you think you can conquer with the Robots in your hand. Military Base Choose the Robot (or pair of Robots) that you want to use to win that territory and place them face down on the table. Don’t let anyone else see your cards. How to choose: Every Robot has two power numbers and Special Skills shown by the colours on his card. If your Robot’s skill colours match all the battle skill colours needed on that Territory, use the large number as your power rating. If they don’t, or you don’t have all the colours, the smaller number is that Robot’s power rating this turn. The highest number wins. Both colours on the Territory card are matched by 2 colours on the Robot card COMBO ARCEE + BULKHEAD l When both sides have played, turn over your Robot cards, count your power ratings. The highest score takes the territory. With four players, add your team’s scores together to do battle. Put all Robots onto the territory, with the winning Robots on top. In the event of a draw, players take back their cards and the same player chooses a different territory. THE WINNER! The first player or team to conquer four territories wins the game. Tip - If you are playing two Robot cards, you may wish to disguise this from your opponent before the reveal! TERRITORIES Different skills are needed to conquer every territory. Purple: Close Quarter Fighting Green: Toxic Hazard Protection Yellow: Difficult Terrain Skills Blue: Open Battlefield Skills 9 4 8 5 WHEELJACK COMBO ARCEE + BULKHEAD 8 5 Kevin looks at his five Decepticon cards. The Mission Control card for this round gives “Decepticons +1 attack”. This means he adds +1 to his total power rating score. Not knowing if Sophie intends to play 1 or 2 Autobots, Kevin decides to play just one. He wants to save his Robots for later in the game. Both players place their Robot cards face down in front of them, then turn them face up at the same time. Sophie’s cards add up to 14. Kevin’s add up to 9 (8 from his Robot and +1 from the Mission Control card). Sophie wins. Both players place their cards on the territory, with Sophie’s cards on top to show she owns it. Kevin chooses the next territory to invade. Military Base 4 Sophie looks at the territories available. She then looks at her five Autobots in her hand and looks at the Mission Control card for this round. She chooses to battle for the Military Base and selects Combo Arcee + Bulkhead. Combo Arcee + Bulkhead have the required skills and a good battle rating. She could choose a second Robot, but she doesn’t have one with all the right Special Skills. Wheeljack matches one of the skills so can be played but only using the lower power rating of 5. Remember you only have 10 Robots in total. If you use them all up early in the game, you may not be able to do battle later. Sophie 9 EXAMPLE GAME PLAY WHEELJACK l Pick up Reserve Robots so you have five cards in your hand.
