Check In / Registration
Doors open at 5:00pm for registration.
Express Checkout
At check-in you will have the option to utilize Express Check-Out
by using a credit card to pay for your Live and Silent Auction
purchases. Your card will be swiped at registration check-in. You
will sign a receipt and receive a copy, eliminating the need to see
the cashier at the end of the evening. All credit card information is
securely stored in the AuctionPay terminals.
This year, invoices detailing winnings will be e-mailed or
mailed to the purchaser the week of March 18, 2013. We hope
that by streamlining the checkout out process you will have
more time to enjoy the evening.
General
St. Joseph School has endeavored to describe all items correctly.
All items offered in the silent & live auction are offered “as is” and
therefore St. Joseph School shall in no way be responsible for the
correctness of the description, authorship, genuineness, or
condition of the property. No statement given in the catalog, made
orally by auctioneers, or made elsewhere shall be deemed to be a
warranty, representation or assumption of liability. St. Joseph
School is not responsible for businesses or other failures beyond
our control that may result in the loss or non-delivery of items
purchased at the auction.
Silent Auction
To bid in the Silent Auction, please print your full name and
paddle number on the respective bid sheet located on each Silent
Auction table. The opening bid must be equal to or greater than
the minimum bid printed on the bid sheet for each item in order to
be a valid opening bid. Each increase in bid must be equal to or be
greater than the stated minimum increase as indicated on the bid
sheet. Under no circumstances may a bid sheet be removed from
an auction table by anyone other than an authorized official. Silent
Auction bidding closes promptly at the time designated at the
event.
Live Auction
You must use your bid card to bid on any auction item. Each
auction guest has been assigned a bid number (couples are
assigned one number). Bidders are financially responsible for the
use of bid cards.
The Live Auction will begin after all Silent Auction tables close,
and will be conducted by a professional auctioneer. To bid on an
item, raise your paddle showing your bid number. The Auctioneer
or spotter will note your bid. The highest bid buys the item.
Some live auction items are suitable for group bidding. One
person is designated as the lead bidder to represent the group and
is responsible for payment. The winning bidder pays full
purchase price.
Payments & Restrictions
Payment may be made by credit card, cash or check (checks should
be made payable to St. Joseph School). Invoices will be
emailed/mailed the week of March 18, 2013.
Auction items for services, vacation homes, etc. are to be arranged
at the mutual convenience of donor and buyer. The buyer is
responsible for initiating contact with the donor to arrange
mutually agreeable times. Certificates will specify how long an
offer is valid.
Please read bid sheets very carefully for information, special
conditions and limitations. All items are sold “as is”. All sales are
final; no exchanges or refunds are possible. Values on auction
items are estimates only and are not warranted for tax purposes or
general value. Please consult your tax advisor for item
deductibility. Dates printed for specific items are as stated, no
exceptions.

This 2008 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir is a blend of nine vineyards, which lie in
and around the central part of the Russian River Valley appellation (known as Santa
Rosa Plain). The individual lots are all unique, giving the blend a load of complexity.
On the nose you will find wild raspberry, lavender and soft notes of sarsaparilla.
Layers of warm spices compete for attention with the rich berry and crushed ripe
cherries. On the palate you'll find raspberry and a trace of nutmeg envelop the
midpalate. With a crescendo of dark red fruit, nuances of spice and traces of cola with
slowly saturate the back palate. Traces of cream, bright/rich cherry and dark chocolate
are revealed in the long, caressing and mouth filling finish. We recommend drinking
this wine between 2011 and 2016. 94 Points Wine Spectator.

You're bidding on a 2006 Kistler Winery in Sebastopol Stone Flat Vineyard. Sourced
since 2002. Located in the western portion of Carneros, where the soils are driven by
heavy river run cobble, but the air is dominated by afternoon winds from the Pacific.
This wine has an impeccable balance between its minerality, its fruit reminiscent core
and its silken, persistent finish. Light gold. A strikingly complex bouquet displays
scents of wet stone, iodine, pear, lemon rind and smoked meat. Tightly wound,
mineral-driven citrus & orchard fruit flavors completely stain the palate, picking up
exotic floral and spice notes with air. The '05 version of this was like a Montrachet
while this one is a dead-ringer for Chevalier-Montrachet.
