A huge bolt of laminated stainless steel, nearly three
inches long, activated by an uncomplicated pivot
mechanism, has made this basic MS® Deadbolt the
standard of the narrow stile door industry. The length
of this bolt provides maximum security for a single leaf
door, even a very tall and flexible one or an installation
where the gap between door and jamb is greater than
it should be.

Adding the 4015 bolt to a pivoted bolt MS® deadbolt allows
Maximum Security for pairs of doors by the turn of a single key.
Simultaneously dropping a hardened steel hexbolt into the
threshold and pivoting the massive MS® bolt into the mating
door’s stile, the two-point lock secures the entire double door
entrance.The 4015 threshold bolt is harnessed to the rear of the
pivoted bolt. It may be added to any basic MS1850S or
MS1850SN deadbolt.

Designed to add a top-of-door third locking point for
pairs of doors with an MS® pivoted bolt deadbolt and
4015 Threshold bolt in the active leaf. The 4085 is
mounted in the inactive leaf. This additional bolt, triggered by the pivoted MS® bolt, expands in a “scissors”
action to center itself in its strike as it rises. This action
saves the key holder from the difficulty of lining up the
doors with three separate strikes, even if doors are misaligned due to faulty installation or settling. The threepoint features may be added to any
basic MS1850S or MS1850SN deadbolt.

For wood framed sliding doors the 5017 Deadbolt
provides the same thousand pound strength that the
MS1847 Deadbolt provides for metal stiles. A deeper backset clears the recessed jamb used with wood
doors. Bolt throw is easily adjusted by means of a
screw in the faceplate. Mounting is by through-bolts,
which also secure the inside turn and outside cylinder when installed.

Bottom Rail Deadbolt
MS1861
Using the same overcenter/pivot locking mechanism as
the basic MS® deadbolt, the MS1861 lies horizontally in
the bottom rail of ultra-narrow stile doors, which have
insufficient vertical space for a lock and tempered glass
doors, which have no stile at all. The hardened steel
cylindrical bolts allow simple drilled strike holes of a
relatively small size to minimize the nuisance and danger presented by some threshold strikes in collecting
debris and catching women’s heels. MS1861-02 locks
either single-leaf or paired doors.

The MS4043 cylinder guard offers a three-way defense:
First, the outer shield ring is fully beveled to offer poor purchase for either prying or twisting. Second, this ring is
hardened steel so that the combination of shape and hardness make it virtually impossible to grip, even with sharpened tools. Third, in the event that a prying tool, such as a
cold chisel, can be driven into the stile behind the shield
ring, the would be burglar is obliged to pull a heavy steel
plate through a round hole in the 1/8" metal door stile.

hours is offered by 4510 Series Deadlatches. A reverse
turn of the key while bolt is held retracted retains the
bolt, to allow two-way traffic for hospitals, banks, stores
and other buildings which require free entrance at certain times and exit-only at other times. Interchangeable,
without stile modification, with any MS1850A or
MS1850S deadbolt of same backset and faceplate shape.

of same backset. (They do not, however, provide the maximum security level of the MS Deadbolt and should not

Flexibility of traffic control and installation is offered by
the 4900 Series Deadlatches. A reverse turn of the key
while bolt is held retracted retains the bolt, to allow two
way traffic for applications which require free entrance at
certain times and exit-only at other times.
Interchangeable, without stile modification, with any
MS1850A or MS1850S deadbolt of same backset and
faceplate shape. Also retrofits to existing 4500/4700
Deadlatch preparations.

ADAMS RITE
A switch in the exit device pushbar mounted on the
hinge end. Switch can be used to activate signal light,
horn, monitor or other devices. Most common application is to release maglock when pushbar is depressed.
Switch can be wired for normally open or normally
closed depending upon application. Can be retrofit in
field to existing exit device. Dual switch version offers
redundancy as required by some building codes or the
option of operating a second signaling device.
