Enchanted Evening
Silver Partners
Our 4th Annual Enchanted Evening was
truly a night to remember. We raised over
$32,000 for Specialized Senior Services. We
decked out the Center in true Mardi Gras style.
Our dinner by Bon`Appetit and musical performance by Dave Bennett were wonderful.
Look for advertisements from all of our partners, sponsors, friends and donators. These
people and businesses support and care deeply
for the services of the Waterford Senior Center
and the many programs that make a difference
in the lives of the seniors we serve.
Thursday, August 8th is our Volunteer Appreciation Lunch. Don’t forget to sign up if you
are one of our many volunteers. Our work here
is successful only by the many hours of dedicated service by the volunteers of the Waterford
Senior Center.

In Memorial
Our most grateful thanks to our dear friend
and former member of the Waterford Senior
Center, Chuck Robinson.
Chuck was a former teacher who served on
the Senior Center finance committee for over
twenty years after his retirement.
He also contributed all of his rolled coin to
the Center’s memorial fund every month.
Chuck bequeathed a portion of his estate to
the Center when he was making his final
arrangements.

Senior Center Advisory
Friendly Visitor Program
The Advisory Board is a group of senior volunteers who are dedicated to assisting in the
future direction of the Center. The group’s input
and ideas are valued by staff when considering
changes, additions or deletions of programs that
are offered at the Center.
All Senior Center members are welcome &
encouraged to participate! The Committee Chair
is Dennis Griffin. New members and visitors are
always welcome! Board meetings are on the
2nd Wednesday bi-monthly. The next meetings
are scheduled for Wednesday, September 11,
10:00 a.m. No meeting in July.
The Friendly Visitor Program needs a few
good volunteers to
socialize with homebound seniors in their
home. Isolated seniors love to spend
time with a friendly
visitor reading, helping write letters, playing games or just
talking. The pay is
fantastic – smiles
and hugs! Call Marilyn Hauger at
248.682.9450.
