Listening is the thing we do the most of in our life, except breathing! Yet, few of us have intentionally developed our listening skills, or given consideration to the impact of our listening style on our performance and outcomes. In fact, even though research shows that listening competence is associated with leadership effectiveness, team performance, and employee well-being most universities do not require instruction in listening. What’s the bottom-line? Recent research demonstrates an organization’s listening culture impacts the bottom-line. This workshop is designed to help leaders and teams: • • • • Improve Collaboration Reduced Gossip-Gab Access Higher Levels of Creativity Move Past Impasses and Turf Wars In this interactive inquiry participants will understand what it means to listen, identify listening style, uncover factors that impact their listening, and create an action plan for expanding their ability to listen deeply and effectively. Participants will select a workplace listening challenge to which they will apply the day’s learning. Those who choose to accept this invitation are eligible for a free follow-up coaching/mentoring session to debrief and expand the experience. See Registration form or visit our website to register.
