Porting is a viable alternative to big bore kits. While it will not yield the same horse power, it does
increase both torque and horsepower and may be "just enough" without going to a "Big Bore"

Top end replacement is a good thing to do. We like to change rings every 3K miles, and piston and
rings on the alternate 3K miles. If you notice that your top end power has fallen off, and/or your
scooter is hard to start (new spark plug?) then it is probably time to replace top end.When we ship
the parts to you we also send assembly and break in instructions. We suggest you hone the
cylinder to break the glaze on it. This is easy to do and the hone can be re-used hundreds of time.

The external surface ensures maximum friction
to the transmission's belt so that traction is
always constant. The semipulley is die-cast in
aluminium and of a high silicon concentration.
The bigger amplitude of the roller allows
better acceleration when starting and higher
maximum speed thanks to the better power
output.The transmission's belt adherence is
bigger because the external surface has not
been treated. The casehardened and tempered
steel pin is chromed, its external surface
is ground and lapped; any friction with the
speed control is therefore minimized. The
rollers are made of a thermoplastic resin,
which guarantees long use with minimal wear.

Honing the cylinder when re-building
the top end is probably the most
important step in the rebuild. A glaze
builds up which prevents rings from
transferring heat efficiently and the
glaze lowers compression.
It is not difficult to hone a cylinder to
just break the glaze! All you need is an
electric drill. We will be happy to explain
this very necessary step in the rebuild!
