ELCOME TO OUR CONFERENCE
CHALLENGES IN OB/GYN: PEARLS FOR PRACTICE
This is the third year of our expanded UIC Department of Obstetrics and
Gynecology Annual Conference. We have invited several distinguished
faculty to give state-of-the-art lectures on such topics as chronic pelvic
pain, recurrent pregnancy loss, critical care in obstetrics, and uterine cancer.
Several of our University of Illinois faculty are offering “pearls for practice”
in their areas of expertise, including fecal incontinence, thyroid disease in
pregnancy, ethical issues of very preterm deliveries, fertility preservation for
women with uterine cancer, and many more.
We are pleased to host the 10th Annual Antonio Scommegna, MD
Symposium and the 15th Annual Laird Wilson Jr, PhD Symposium. We are
proud to continue honoring these two extraordinary clinician-scientists who
were committed to improving women’s reproductive and obstetrical care.
