He worked for General Motors Diesel in London, Mr. Pompies was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 557, Mr. Porn pies is survived by his wife Cornelia, his son Martin, at home and daught· er, Mrs. Louis Bellec (Marjo) of Tren'ton, Also surviving is his brother Martin of Campbell River, B.C., sister Mrs . Hans Kamstra (Annie) of Holland and his grandson Paul. A memorial service was held in the evening of August 16, 1979. Funeral services were conducted at the Carrothers-Belzner Funeral Home by Rev. Wesley Ball, Interment was a t the Zion 7th Line Cemetery.
