Eilat, Israel's most southern point, the only western vacation city on the shores of
the Red Sea and Israel's leading resort.
The natural resources found in Eilat, along with the investment in sport facilities,
have turned the city into an international sport venue in the last few years, hosting
international championships in a range of fields.
Eilat has been officially recognized as an international sport city by the Israeli
government and therefore receives support from the relevant government offices.
The city has proven that it is capable of meeting the highest international standards
of services.
During 2014 the city of Eilat will host 39 sports competitions, events and
conventions: 16 International events, 19 national events, 2 regional events and 2

Running), Athletics, Basketball, Soccer, Junior Soccer, Volleyball, Bridge,
Windsurfing, Sailing, Netball, Desert Marathon, Boxing, Open Water Swimming,
