METRO DENVER PARTNERS
2014-2015 Annual Report
GANG RESCUE & SUPPORT PROJECT
From the Board President and Executive Director . . . . .
For over 48 years Partners has improved our community by adhering to its mission of changing the
future for youth at-risk through mentoring and gang intervention/prevention. Demands for our programs,
uncertain public and private funding, and recruitment of adult volunteers to be mentors remain our most
pressing challenges.
However, despite persistent economic and political complications, Partners’ exceptional programs
continue to have amazing results. This past fiscal year we served 564 youth who achieved significant,
positive outcomes from our services. Youth in our programs have increased decision-making skills, are
learning to bond with a non-family member adult, are gaining self-esteem and believing in themselves,
while improving their social and communication skills, and are more committed to not using alcohol, tobacco or other drugs.
Additionally, we launched two new programs this year: GRASP Enterprises and the Academic
Summer Academy. GRASP Enterprises provides youth in that program with employment opportunities
through a social enterprise business - a silkscreen and embroidery shop. The Summer Academy’s goal is
to mitigate the academic loss that can occur over the summer with a six-week program of intensive
computer-based tutoring for female youth in Montbello and Green Valley Ranch.
Our community’s support is, and always has been amazing. We want to thank everyone for their
unwavering support. Your financial donations, in-kind gifts, grants, and volunteer commitments are why
Partners remains a vital force in changing the lives of young people.

HIGHLIGHTS OF 2014-2015
Youth in our programs, our volunteers, donors, and staff have experienced a year of exciting and fun activities, exceptional events,
and stimulating educational opportunities. Group sessions, life-skills training, outdoor activities, visits to community sites, sporting
activities - all contributed to another year of growth and fun.
Our programs remain relevant and vital to the youth in our community. Helping kids acquire the skills and personal tools to
succeed in life is our continuing mission, and we are proud of our 48 year record. Thanks to all our funders and supporters.
