Mast height 45 feet Solid fiberglass hull with non-skid deck Comfortable live-aboard cruiser for one or two people ON DECK Starting at her bow, CARINA has roller furling for her full Genoa headsail and her staysail. A Simpson-Lawrence manual anchor windlass is mounted on the foredeck. Her main anchor is a Delta 35 on 75 ft. of chain rode, spliced to 3/4 “ nylon rode. The anchor locker also holds two aluminum propane tanks. A storage canister sits just aft of the anchor locker. Looking aft, a forward hatch opens to the V berth below. The Spinnaker can be rigged to the forward traveler with the Spinnaker pole. The Selden mast is deck-stepped and has mast steps to the top. The North Sail mainsail has three reefing points. Four dorads provide ventilation below deck, as well as a center hatch. A custom-made full Sunbrella awning provides shade. ON DECK A Viking 4 man Life Raft is mounted on deck midship. A three section windshield and hard dodger were factory installed, and the dodger extended to cover the cockpit. The separate aft cabin opens off the cockpit and has two dorads for ventilation. The main traveler sits at the stern of the cockpit. A 15 HP Nissan outboard is stowed on the starboard stern rail, with a swinging lift arm to raise and lower it. The Caribe dinghy is secured on davits and there is a swim ladder on the transom. A Magma Catalina propane grill sits on the port stern rail. There is a 75 lb. Fisherman’s anchor strapped to the rail for storm use. A stainless steel antenna array is mounted on the stern, holding GPS, SSB and VHF antennas, and radar dome. Page 2 CARINA COCKPIT CARINA’S center cockpit is deep with high, secure coamings. The windshield and hard dodger provide excellent protection from the elements. Heavy duty grab rails and metal reinforced hatchboards are designed to handle offshore conditions. In line of sight over the main companionway, the instrument panel provides data on wind, depth, heading and speed. The Furuno display includes radar, GPS and chartplotter, which are interfaced with the Furuno autopilot. The Bukh 36 HP 3 cylinder diesel inboard engine is directly below the cockpit, with the teak floor forming a large access door. Throttle controls are next to the compass pedestal. Waterproof external speakers provide music and 12 volt Hella fans offer ventilation. CARINA Page 3 BELOW DECK CARINA’S interior is finished in warm, durable, high quality teak. To starboard at the foot of the companionway steps is the Nav Station. This is the control center of the vessel, with battery switches, 12 volt and shore power panels, inverter/battery charger controls, VHF and SSB radios, and stereo. A chart locker runs the length of the station at the back. A pullout seat stows when not in use. For added security there is and interior engine battery switch. CARINA’S galley is to port and includes a two burner propane gimbaled stove with oven. The deep sink has both an electric and manual water pump. The Seafrost Refrigerator, located in the port cockpit locker, is a dual system, with both engine drive and 110 shore power units, and makes ice in vertical trays. An on-demand propane hot water heater serves both the galley and head. Below the sink is the fresh water flush filter for the Village Marine Watermaker, installed in the starboard cockpit locker. Between the Nav Station and the galley sits the engine starting battery, below the floor. Page 4 CARINA BELOW DECK The main salon has settees with storage underneath, and the main water storage tank below the teak sole. A center table with two folding leaves has storage in the middle. An entertainment center occupies the starboard side. Plenty of natural light enters via the center overhead hatch and side ports. Hella fans provide cooling breezes. Through the forward door, the head sits to starboard. It has a handheld shower, and a Blake & Taylors porcelain toilet with a Lavac hand pump. A hanging locker with shelves is opposite the head. The V Berth (next page) has a double berth with a removable center cushion. There are huge storage lockers underneath. A complete set of signal flags is mounted on the port bulkhead. There is a separate aft cabin with double berth, sink, vanity, shelves and huge storage lockers. CARINA Page 5 BELOW DECK ENGINE Page 6 V BERTH CARINA is equipped with a 3 cylinder, DV 36 HP Bukh diesel inboard engine, built in Denmark. The engine was rebuilt in 2006 with original Bukh parts and now has approx. 360 hours. Fuel consumption is .3 to .5 gallons per hour at 2500 rpm, moving at 5 knots. CARINA DINGHY AND OUTBOARD Included with CARINA is a Caribe 9 ft. inflatable dinghy in very good condition. The dinghy has a custom made Sunbrella cover. A 15 HP Nissan 2 stroke gasoline outboard engine provides propulsion. CARINA IS FOR SALE and is located at a secure fresh water marina in Rio Dulce, Guatemala.
