what is Kevala Foundation?
Kevala Foundation is an India based charitable trust based at Chikmagalur in India that aims to enrich the
awareness and social consciousness of aspirants through guidance offered on joyful living, science of yoga, music,
dance, art, wellness, environment and self-empowerment. Training programs will be offered through residential
workshops, seminars and symposiums.
Goals and Objectives:

What is the meaning of Kevala?
Kevala in Sanskrit Language means the ‘only one’ or ‘unique’. This reflects in our vision to create a unique space,
concept and teaching to serve humanity with higher awareness.
What is the concept of Kevala Celebration Center?
Kevala offers one-of-a-kind concept to help people explore, experience and elevate their awareness. We will help
people unblock themselves and give them a space that is conducive for attaining quick results. We are privileged to
have a astonishingly serene, placid, green space that is only 4 hrs drive from the cities. We have on-site natural
mineral water source from our bore well. It’s something rare as source of ground water in India is depleted and
polluted. Indian cities are noisy, polluted, crowded, and hard to navigate. Hence we are giving them a great choice
of abundant nature and a conducive environment for de-stressing and relaxing.
We are growing forests to connect with powerful cosmic entities like with big bear constellation, Moon, Stars
and Planets in our solar system. This is a proven concept and there are about only handful of such forests in India
and none of it in chikmagalur. Any person who walks by these trees is guaranteed huge doses of pure oxygen, and
rich exchange of pure vibrations.
We are creating an atmosphere of creative freedom that will help people come out of their rigid paradigms and
celebrate their journey. Hence they will come back for more exploration and also refer us to more aspirants.

What is Kevala Celebration Center?
Kevala Celebration Center will be run by the Kevala Foundation at Chikmagalur. Kevala is a destination that will
help you explore, experience and elevate you to your highest potential by empowering your awareness through a
dynamically guided process.
The space will combine the comforts and ambience of a nature resort while helping you to progressively attain
deeper connectivity to your core essence. The impact of this elevated experience will reflect upon deep awareness
and clarity in your relationship at work and help you realize your goals that you have set in this lifetime. Kevala
offers experiential, result oriented, residential workshops to enhance the quality of awareness at work place.
Why is Kevala, a Celebration Center?
Life is an eternal relationship with vibrations. We are all vibrations. Life on earth is meant to be a celebration of
coming together of many vibrations. It is attitude that can shift us to higher altitude in our progressive journey. We
celebrate when we become aware of our true state of being. Ignorance is not bliss as commonly believed.
Awareness is the pathway to true bliss. Celebration is our true nature. When the breath, body, mind, and soul are
in immense harmony and connectedness, celebration just happens. Causeless joy overrides the limitations of all
our pre-conceived ideas that are limiting us with fear, shame and guilt that has trapped us into ignorant states.
Kevala Celebration Center combines the concept, essence and facility of a Nature Retreat and Yoga Ashram. Its
location is fascinating as it is surrounded by 360 degrees of green top hills (6350ft a.s.l), silver oak plantations,
coffee estates and forests. With great weather through the year (avg temperature is 22 deg C) and with great road
network, the center will attract many reputed facilitators as well as guests who will attend the programs that we

Kevala Celebration Center is born out of a growing demand from sincere spiritual seekers across the world who are
thirsty for inner exploration and ascension to unity consciousness.
We already have requests from yoga practitioners, meditation groups for a serene place in India to conduct
residential programs that offers hygienic kitchen, toilets, clean rooms, friendly service staff and a meditation space
with high energy space that is conducive for their awareness exploration.
Moreover, Kevala will be an ‘open space’ for many events. Teachers will bring their student groups for many
events like workshops, courses, nature trails, and so on.
Who runs Kevala Foundation?
Kevala Foundation is a Registered Charity trust at Chikmagalur district in India. The trust was founded in
December 2010. The Trustees will oversee the functioning of Kevala Celebration Center, Kevala Meditation Cave
and Kevala Foundation
Who has funded construction of Kevala Celebration Center?
Dr Pradeep Ullal has personally funded the construction of Kevala Celebration Center till date.
Who are the trustees of Kevala Foundation?
Dr. Pradeep Ullal, Mr. Parthibhan, Mrs. Vinaya Varma are the current trustees.
We are adding more trustees by end of year 2013.
Who is Core Group at Kevala Foundation?
Core Group at Kevala is a happy and exciting bunch of gifted beings who with their immense intent and dedication
have served Kevala Foundation initiatives. They are an integral aspect of all activities at Kevala Foundation. Their
immense contribution, services, extended support has been crucial to the setting up of the Foundation and
construction of the Celebration Center.
Every initiative or a humanity cause of the magnitude of Kevala Center needs the support of genuine contributors.
Thankfully we have been blessed with some amazing beings that have voluntarily helped us at every step in this
project. We are open to include more people into our core group of the Kevala spiritual community.
This will enable you to take part an integral part of Kevala movement that includes spiritual community, charity
initiatives, rural empowerment programs, forest growing initiatives, organic farming, environmental awareness

Who will run the Kevala Celebration Center?
Dr. Pradeep Ullal is the Spiritual Head of Kevala Foundation. The Trustees and Management staff will oversee
the operations at the Kevala Celebration Center, Meditation Cave and Charity initiatives.
The Center will operate as a ‘Not for Profit’ organization and charge nominal fees from guests to enable
sustenance of the center.
The celebration center will provide the basic comforts of a nature resort while providing the tranquility and
calming energy of a Yoga ashram.
The center will invite expert teachers from across the world to share their awareness and hence offering a
wide range of teachings.
Free programs and awareness campaigns will be offered to rural aspirants who are under-privileged. This is a
part of charity initiatives.

Reputed / acclaimed teachers from different parts of the world will conduct their programs at kevala. India is a
very attractive spiritual destination for seekers in the West. They will bring their own students/ attendees who will
be our guests.
We will train a bunch of bright, young students who will serve as volunteers and support the events and activities
at kevala. They will also be paid support staff who will be recruited to handle events on a need basis.

Rejuvenation:
Human body has around 100 trillion cells and 1000 trillion bacteria within. Thousands of cells are born and

How will donation serve Kevala at this point?
We are trying to fund the project with the limited resources. All the funding so far has been undertaken by Dr.
Pradeep Ullal. However there are more funds to be raised in order meet the following requirements of the Kevala
Project.
a) Pending construction of the Kevala Celebration Center.
b) Funds that are required to grow and develop the Kevala Forest.
c) Building a meditation cave
d) Funding the charity initiatives at Kevala Foundation which includes initiatives for empowering rural school
children
Terms and Conditions for Guests at Kevala Foundation:
Please read all the below mentioned Terms and Conditions carefully:
Voucher for Stay is issued by Kevala Foundation on receipt of stipulated Donation. The donation is nonrefundable.
Kevala Celebration Center Opening:
Kevala Celebration Center is currently under construction at Chikmagalur in India. The center is
scheduled to open its doors in Mid of 2014. This is subject to completion of construction and
setting up of the facility.
Termination of Stay:
Stay at Kevala can be terminated by Trustees of Kevala Foundation if any of the Guests are
found guilty of violating the norms set by Kevala Foundation. This includes indulging in activities
that are not permitted in the center:
a) Vandalizing the property or cutting of trees without written permission.
b) Verbally or physically abusing other members, guests, volunteers or hosts at the center.
c) Stealing, acts of arson.
d) Defaming the teachers intentionally in public, mass media, social media
Note that drinking alcohol, smoking cigarettes and consumption of drugs at site is strictly
prohibited.
Code of Conduct guidelines for Guests:
Kevala welcomes Guests to sustain a non-political, simple, humble, supportive and positive
atmosphere at the center. It is possible that Kevala’s supportive environment may be disrupted
by the actions of one of its Guests. Often when the disruption continues, the center’s activity
suffers. The positive, enjoyable environment is compromised. We have Guests from different
parts of the world who are keen to be on the progressive path. Hence all Guests are required
to honour the initiatives and programs at Kevala. However if we find Guests have deliberately
failed to honour the sanctity of the center, Kevala trustees will be forced to take
actions. Written warnings will be sent to disruptive Guests. On repeated failure to adhere the
code of conduct, the Guests will be banned from being a part of Kevala activities.
Dos, Don’ts, Code of Conduct while at Kevala Celebration Center:
During your stay at Kevala, please honour the code of conduct as expected from all Guests.
1. Kevala is a nature retreat situated in a pollution-free, green zone. Hence we strictly adhere to
NO PLASTIC concept. All visitors are requested not to litter the site with plastic bags. Avoid
bringing plastic bags with you.
2. Spitting/ blowing nose should be restricted to specially erected spittoons or wash basins.
3. Dispose all solid and liquid waste in specially allocated bins on site.
4. Avoid wasting food and water. Water on site is limited in resources. We offer you choicest,
organically grown vegetables, herbs, fruits and gourmet style cooked meals.
5. Turn off lights when not in use. Use lighting sparingly. We have irregular Power supply.
Generating alternative power is expensive on site.
6. Respect and honour all workers, staff, volunteers, guests, hosts during your visit to Kevala.
The staff will ensure your stay at Kevala is truly memorable and worthwhile.
7. We encourage a friendly, jovial, celebrative, harmonious atmosphere at Kevala. But this
should not be misunderstood for hurting anyone’s sentiments or bullying others.
8. Respect privacy of other guests when they ask for it. Many sincere guests who are on the
path of meditation would like to be undisturbed during their stay.
9. Kevala is not a luxury spa or Hotel or a Resort. Hence no fancy demands will be honoured
with respect to food. Simple, nutritious, organic vegetarian Food is cooked at our kitchen. All
visitors/ aspirants will be required to do self-service at food counters. Also we will be honoured
if you can assist our staff in participating in service oriented activity.
10. There will be no discrimination of members at Kevala. We respect and honour people from
all race, color, caste, creed, language, traditions and culture as sincere aspirants on the path. All
are treated as equals.
11. There will be no preferential treatment given to anyone based on their socio-economic
status, popularity, fame, political or media clout. All members will be treated equally as
aspirants and as contributors to a vibrant spiritual community at Kevala
12. All Guests are personally responsible for their valuables they bring to Kevala. The
management is not responsible for any theft, loss of belongings during the stay. We will provide
lockers in each room for safety of your valuables. We discourage you to carry lot of baggage,
expensive jewellery, precious stones and watches with you.
13. Remember that Chikmagalur is a small agricultural town with local cultural sensitivities.
Hence members are requested not to be loud and boisterous in their clothing and mannerism
when they are outside Kevala campus. You will attract unnecessary attention from locals who
may want to amuse themselves by pestering or stalking you.
14. You are not allowed to carry any banned medicine, narcotic drugs, substances, alcohol, and
meat in any form to Kevala center. Consuming any of this above mentioned in Kevala site is
strictly prohibited
15. We use grey water reclamation facility to re-use water from washing. Hence we cannot use
chemical based shampoos and soaps in Bathrooms. We will provide organic soaps and
shampoos for guests during stay.
16. Plucking flowers, vegetables and fruits in Kevala site is restricted to usage for Kevala
activities.
17. Once you check in at Kevala site, you are required to follow the instructions of Kevala
management, program manager, or guide. Venturing outside Kevala premise or travelling
without guides or seeking permission is at the risk of guests/visitors.
18. All Guests are requested to maintain the decorum of the Kevala center. Maintain hygiene
while using public spaces.
19. Guests are allowed to park their cars in the open /outdoor parking facility. The space is
secluded and is usually safe.
20. Guest rooms and Bathrooms will be kept clean by our housekeeping staff. However
Members are expected to make their own beds during their stay. We encourage all members to
contribute to saving water. Hence all guests are requested not to send towels and bed sheets
for wash on a daily basis.
21. We will have a broadband Wi-Fi facility which will be available to guests only at the Herbal
Juice Bar and Lounge Area.

Kevala offers an atmosphere of community living. All members are requested to pool in their
thoughts, suggestions, and ideas to enrich the spiritual community at Kevala. All efforts must be
taken to ensure that we connect with each other and sustain a friendly, caring group of people
across the world. We will arrange for Member Symposiums to connect with each other and
pool ideas to make a difference to the world. Members are welcome to invite their like-minded
friends to join and grow the community.

Charity Work at Kevala Foundation
FREE FOOD AND CLOTHING: Kevala Foundation is involved in feeding programs for rural school
children in and around Chikmagalur. Children are given education on hygiene, and nutritional
aspects.
FREE VALUE EDUCATION AND AWARENESS CAMPAIGNS: Kevala Foundation conducts free
value education programs for children in village schools. We are planning to open a primary
school in the kevala campus to educate and support homeless children. Over 500 children have
been educated on enhancing brain power through free workshops.
FREE ENVIRONMENT CAMPAIGNS: Kevala Foundation conducts free value environment
campaigns & seminars to disseminate awareness about organic farming, protecting forests,
growing herbal gardens, ecological balance, organic dairy farming, alternative energy
generation, waste management, rain water harvesting, alternative power generation. We are
receiving technical support from Ministry of Agriculture.
Gurukul at Kevala:
We are planning to create a vibrant traditional Gurukul (nature based schooling) which will
impart awareness about Vedas, Upanishads, Mantras, Agnihotra Ceremonies, Yoga, Sankhya,
Natyashatra, Ayurveda, Tantra to children in a residential school environment.
Kevala Cosmic Forest Initiative:
Forests are an important part of our ecosystem. They provide us vital oxygen and sequester
carbon. Corporate Organizations can support the Kevala Forests Initiative to grow and protect
forests at the proposed site at Chikmagalur in South India. Also be a part of our eco campaigns.
We grow forests; not just trees. Forestry decisions will be made based on the characteristics of
the land and individual stands of trees and associated resources using landscape level planning
experience of our experts.
We enthusiastically and proactively encourage innovation in land management that improves
the forest over the long term.
We endeavor to provide a natural environment that encourages and motivates excellence,
connection with nature for our partners and guests.

The spiritual and charity work that is going to happen in Kevala Celebration Center will be
towards spreading awareness in rural places and making a difference to many people that truly
are keen to be aware. We will train such people to become self-sufficient and they can be
inspiring leaders in their villages and contribute to social and environmental awareness.
We have invested into building Kevala Celebration Center at Chikmagalur. It’s a powerful
project and will welcome genuine souls from across the world. It will be truly exciting to be a
part of this global spiritual community. We are at a crucial juncture at this point. We have
overshot our budget and will need to raise funds over USD 100,000 to complete the
construction of the center. We are raising funds at this point through Life Memberships and
also from personal contributions from individuals who understand the purpose of Kevala and
are ready to contribute funds.
Seeking Support for Kevala Forest Initiative
Corporates are welcome to support us through CSR initiative by sponsoring us with funds. We
are directing the funds for the following activities: a) clear the existing space for tree planting.
(b) De-weed the allocated site (c) Dig bore wells (d) buy seeds, saplings (e) set up drip
irrigation systems (f) pay for agriculturists, landscaping artistes (g) build water sump tanks (h)
Fencing around the forest area (i) security cameras and solar lighting for monitoring remotely
(j) land surveying for contour mapping (k) sign boards, plant description boards (l) payment
for maintenance staff
At Kevala, we welcome contribution in many ways like service, sponsoring the initiatives,
patronizing the charity activities and so on. If you are keen to donate funds to our charity
initiatives, you are most welcome to send it to the mentioned bank accounts.

website, videos, etc,
Key Patrons will receive free invites and life Membership to attend programs conducted at
Kevala Celebration Center.

Key Patrons will get to promote their services / products through referral programs of
Kevala.
Forests will be named after key patrons. This is subject to willingness of the patrons to
