The VisionHD 8 can take a massive 8kg wash, which is 60% more capacity
than traditional 5kg washing machines, but now fits in a smaller 85x60x54cm
kitchen space.
7kg Load
The brand new Optima 7kg washing machine range features a unique ‘teardrop’
door design and innovative features which ensure design and functionality are
effortlessly entwined for maximum performance.
6kg Load
Taking a hefty 6kg load, the Nextra 6 gives you 20% more capacity than
traditional 5kg washers without compromising performance.
3D Dynamic Wash System
The totally redesigned VisionHD and Optima drums use increased water pressure,
curved paddles and a raised dome system to move the laundry in a 3dimensional way, providing the innovative dynamics that ensures clothes are
washed to the optimum performance. The new way to wash from Hoover!

HydroDome
The raised HydroDome profiles increase the water circulation and stop the
clothes from clinging to the sides of the drum during the wash cycle. This helps
to move the laundry in a 3-dimensional way during the wash cycle for more
effective wash action and reduced creasing of the clothes. The convex shape
of the HydroDome profiles also improves the water distribution and extraction
throughout the wash cycle.
HydroPaddle
The curved HydroPaddles work with the Hydrodome profiles to manoeuvre
the laundry into the centre of the drum for better wash results. The carefully
positioned holes help to disperse the water more effectively throughout the
wash cycle.
HydroPressure
Smaller and more numerous holes in the new drum achieve a higher water
pressure for an all round better cleaning performance, and also enable improved
water extraction during the spin cycle.
KG Mode
The intelligent sensor weighs the laundry during the first 4 minutes of the cycle,
then adjusts the cycle time, water and electricity consumption to suit the size of
the load.
Intelligent Wash System
Incorporated into all VisionHD, Optima and Nextra front loading washing
machines and washer dryers, the Intelligent Wash System uses highly advanced
electronic controls to constantly monitor and adjust the wash process, resulting in
optimum performance throughout the cycle. The system ensures that:
• a constant temperature is maintained for better cleaning
• the spin process removes more water for quicker drying
• the drum revolves at exactly the right speed for better distribution
• the water level matches the type of fabric and size of load
• detergent is directed to the heart of the wash for better utilisation

Intelligent Sensor

The sophisticated electronic software incorporated in the Intelligent Wash System
adjusts the water level and programme length throughout the cycle according to
how much laundry you load into the machine, as well as the nature of the fabrics
in each wash.
VisionHD and Optima washers have an extra large 350mm porthole positioned
much higher in the cabinet than traditional washing machines. This not only looks
more striking but also makes loading and unloading much easier – even bulky
items go in without a struggle.
A quick wash for smaller loads at the most popular wash temperature.
Time Manager Display
A+ Energy
Selected VisionHD and Optima machines have an advanced Time Manager
Display, that allows you to select the length of selected wash programmes (short,
medium and long cycles), giving you a minute-by-minute countdown during the
cycle and allows up to 23 hours delay start.
All Hoover washers are now rated 'A+' for energy efficiency, combined with 'A'
rated wash performance. Our 1600rpm and 1400rpm models are also 'A' rated
for spin performance.

‘A’ rated wash performance in under an hour.
Delay Start
This option allows you to delay the start of the wash, enabling you to arrive
home just in time for when the cycle finishes rather than leave the clothes damp
inside the washer. It also enables you to take advantage of cheaper-rate
electricity tariffs.
Temperature Select
Sometimes you may wish to wash your clothes at a lower temperature than the
programme operates at. A variable temperature control allows you to do
just that.
Spin Select
Selected Hoover washers have the flexibility of being able to lower the spin speed
depending on your washing needs.
Countdown Display
Available on VisionHD 8 and Nextra washing machines, the Hoover Countdown
Display gives an at-a-glance indication of the time remaining on
any wash cycle so you can manage your time more effectively.

Sensitive Care
Sports Cycle
The Sensitive Care option offers a deeper than normal water level during the
wash cycle to provide gentler washing for especially delicate fabrics, while
detergent is removed thoroughly with five extra rinses. Perfect for people with
delicate skin, this option can be selected with all cotton and synthetic cycles.
Designed to deal with generally expensive fabrics which require gentleness in the
wash cycle but which are liable to be dirty or stained following rigorous exercise.
Provides a longer wash cycle at a low temperature.
Stain Blaster
The Stain Blaster option, selectable on all cotton cycles, tackles stubborn stains by
maintaining wash temperatures throughout the programme and adjusting the
spin speed of the drum during critical stages of the wash and rinse cycles.
Time Saver
Time Saver option saves up to 50 minutes on selected programmes.
Fast Iron
Available on selected programmes, this cycle holds the clothes in water after the
final rinse stage until you are ready to select the final spin option to complete the
cycle. This reduces creasing in the clothes and enables easier ironing.
Woollens Cycle
This programme is dedicated to washing garments labelled with the
Wool symbol.
Silk Cycle
Ideal for washing “hand wash only” garments due to the low 30°C temperature
and no final spin.
Inverter Wash Technology
The top-of-the-range VisionHD 9 promises the quietest Hoover wash ever with
our innovative inverter wash technology, an advanced brushless motor that is far
quieter than conventional motors (1600rpm model only).

Auto Sensor Drying
All Hoover washer dryers incorporate Automatic Sensor Drying which
protects your clothes and saves electricity by taking the guesswork out of setting
the drying time. You simply select the degree of dryness you require and the
dryer switches off automatically when it is reached. Hoover Nextra washer dryers
give you the added flexibility of 3 levels of sensor drying to choose from, meeting
all your drying needs. Additionally, for airing or quick drying, dryers can be set to
a timed period.

Selected VisionHD tumble dryers incorporate up to 4 levels of Automatic
Sensor Drying, which protects your clothes from over-drying and saves electricity
because you do not have to guess what the drying time will be. You simply select
the degree of dryness you require and the dryer switches off automatically when
it is reached.
This short gentle cycle can be used to soften woollens after air drying or refresh
those that have been stored in the wardrobe.
‘B’ Energy
Hoover has introduced a range of ‘B’ energy condenser sensor tumble dryers,
which is our highest energy rating available.
Timed Drying Cycles
Highly Efficient Reverse Action
This prevents clothes from tangling during the drying cycle and will therefore help

‘Filter Care’ Indicator
Lets you know when to clean the fluff filter. Not only is this good practice, it will
