Salman partied with Ferrari till midnight
The hit men – Amitabh celebrates with Sharman, Vidhu & director Rajesh Mapuskar
une saw an over-the-moon fatherin-law in a celebratory mood.
Well-spoken gentleman-villain Prem
Chopra and wife Uma threw a party
for son-in-law Sharman Joshi’s first
major solo hit Ferrari Ki Sawaari.
The senior actor’s goodwill showed.
Amitabh Bachchan who’s busy with
KBC strode in for a while, togged up
in his favourite suit, the familiar white
shirt with a tie-less dark coat. Prem
Chopra’s best buddies Jeetendra
(with son Tusshar), Rishi Kapoor and
bro Randhir too, came and stayed
with the hosts. Only Rakesh Roshan
was missing from the gang – he was
in London. The entire Ferrari team
partied with Sharman and surprise
guest Salman Khan who showed

Namaste, success – Prem Chopra
ut together much-awarded bestseller Life Of Pi by Yann Martel
which won the Mann Booker Prize and
Ang Lee, the much-acclaimed director
of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon,
Sense And Sensibility and Brokeback
Mountain, and November just got more
interesting. The Irrfan Khan-Tabu-Gerard
Depardieu film will release in the 11th
month of this year at an unprecedented
1000+ screens including 300+ in 3D
in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
There’s more of India in store – 17-yearold Suraj Sharma essays Pi.
Life Of Pi has been shot in 3D.

He’s come a long way, Godmother –
Shabana drops in
respect for the host, circulated all over
until midnight. At the stroke of the hour,
he vanished with his team of guards
in two four-wheel drive cars. So, did
Salman Khan go home? Err, he did,
but not to his own. His cars cut across
Juhu-Tara road and zoomed into the
compound where Fardeen Khan stays.
The night was young for this Khan!

Books By Byrne
The Secret and The Power by Rhonda
Byrne are my favourite books. They
teach very simple things in life with
beautiful stories. “To create anything,
to change anything, all it takes is just
one thing, the power!” This thought is
enough to motivate anyone.
SHRUTI HASSAN
Â
Brando’s Story
I like reading autobiographies and
though I have read many, I especially
love the one by Marlon Brando called
Songs My Mother Taught Me. I also
like edgy books. I am not reading as
much as I’d like to.

I love the writing style
yle of Japanese
akami and my
author Haruki Murakami
favourite is A Wild Sheep Chase. I
also love all Wilbur Smith books. He
nd as I grew up
writes about Africa and

 MALAIKA
ARORA KHAN
Khaled Hosseni’s The Kite Runner is
one of my all-time favourite books.
It captures the story of friendship,
betrayal, good and evil. I also love
classics like Gone With The Wind
and all Wilbur Smith books as he
captures his subjects and characters
really well.
